6-3, Minnesota Vikings. Halftime.

Do we know if any have applied yet? One would think the Rams were a given.

From the various news reports, it appears all will be filing tomorrow. Probably been preparing the reports for months and taking every last possible minute to make it beautiful.

Or they procrastinate as badly as the rest of us. :)

I predict all 3 franchises will fail miserably in LA.

I don't think the Rams would fail, but the window for a nostalgic return is closing.

If I was the NFL I would look at the Rams / Chargers combination. I have no idea what attendance is like for Raider games in Oakland though.

I am a Charger fan and I have ZERO interest in them moving up here. I'll bet very few fans in San Diego will follow them up here and if the Rams come too, any LA people looking to adopt a team will choose them. The Chargers will make money just from the franchise value and corporate suites and stuff but I'd bet anything attendance will be crappy and there will be zero fan buzz...

The Chargers have a pretty big following in Orange County and North SD County, I think they will still be able to draw pretty well in Carson, and that's not even considering any IE fans.

The bigger issue for the Chargers whether they play in San Diego, Carson or Timbuktu is the inept ownership, management and coaching. I have never once thrown in the towel on supporting a team, but the way they treated Weddle was pathetic and now retaining this clown as coach just makes it tough to have any kind of optimism about the franchise. And I love Rivers as a player, but Rivers isn't good enough right now and hasn't accomplished enough in his career to be dictating who coaches the team, he loves McCoy and apparently went to bat for him, just as he did to buy Norv an extra year.

Is there a date set for the announcement of which team(s) will be moving to LA?

FWIW, I too hope it's the Rams and the Chargers. I guess some of us don't care much for the Raiders.

I'm thinking the Raiders and the Chargers end up in Carson. Rams stay where they are considering the efforts that the city of St. Louis are taking to keep them there. Oakland and San Diego, by comparison, seem like they couldn't care less.

St. Louis is a similar sports town to LA in that it's probably the only city in the entire NFL where the NFL team is not the biggest draw. I travel down there a few times a year for business and the reaction to the Rams is kind of meh, but if the Cards ever threatened to leave there would be riots.

Heard a radio report this morning that the Rams will be playing in the Rose Bowl next season.

Pasadena residents have a change of heart, because haven't they have fought any notion of that for years?

There is nothing like the Rose Bowl, when it's hosting the Rose Bowl and it's worth the hassle of getting in and out. I don't know about 10 games + playoffs (well 10 games, it's the Rams)

What is the ETA for their stadium in Inglewood?

There is no basis for that radio report. I did an Internet search and one of the articles mentioned that "the Rose Bowl in Pasadena has been ruled out because the stadium's governing board voted against hosting an NFL team on a temporary basis." See link below.

As far as I know, there is no ETA. Something like that could take a couple years, since Kroenke already owns the land. Guess it's the Coliseum again...there is nowhere else to go.

That is the biggest issue with LA, with the Rose Bowl out there isn't a viable alternative stadium. The Coliseum is a dump and the NFL isn't going to want to spend two seasons there, so they would have 20 months to build the Inglewood stadium.
