Yeah, it's tough. All the best coaches in the league know what they're doing. Any of them watching his film this year will see the guy that showed little to no flash through an entire season and multiple playcallers. Nobody wants to coach a coach-killer.
It’s a combination of Russ’s limitations and his cap hit. Any sport with a cap, player needs to be worth the cap hit otherwise depending on so many others to make up the over payment through being on good deals.

Yeah the Walton’s are gonna have a hard time righting the ship while he’s here. Knocks a little luster off the new ownership as well

Already hearing it now with all the Walmart quips

Watchin this ESPN broadcast of the 76ers and Nuggets. It’s embarrassing how little respect the Nuggets get. It’s just constant praise for Philly despite Nuggets being up already by 10.

It's beautiful seeing the Nuggets offense dominating every defense in the league

What a bunch of nonsense, they haven't said a thing about the process publicly. Just so called insiders telling you what they are hearing. Unlike other teams with their multiple rounds of interviews that are done to please everyone in the decision tree, this process has one decider and there's no need for doing things the way others do.

Wanted: Head coach that wants to coach the Denver Broncos.
Experience required
Some experience required

No experience required
Greg Penner : "The Denver Broncos are proud to announce that our new head coach is... George Penner my illegitimate half-brother. He may not have any actual coaching experience but I've never seen him lose at Madden."

"There will be no question period. Thank you"

I bet he wins more games than Hackett did as our coach. With less delay of game penalties too.

Turns out, running a fake punt on second down is actually incredibly effective.

I don't think coaches are worried about working with Wilson. They are confident people and they all likely have their own plans.

I think it has to do with reporting directly to Penner. No coach wants that.

I dunno - at least you got a straight line up to ownership. And you have equal footing as the GM. I think that would be preferable?

I think there's something else going on. My conspiracy theory is that some of these potential coaches would want legit QB competition for Russ, or that they would want some/final say on other personnel matters. There's *something* that's driving people off........The DeMeco Ryans thing just sounded like the Broncos were ready to seal the deal and he was not (and it actually sounds like he probably had the Texans #1 and the Broncos #2).....It definitely sounds like Ryans was trying to punt the timing of conversations with the Broncos down the road until he knows where he stands with the Texans.

I don't think any coach in the league wants the owner basically acting as GM and having to report directly to ownership about what you're wanting to do. Owners don't know football. That's the last thing I would want as a head coach.

I was listening to Altitude Sports Radio a few days ago and I don't know who was speaking but it was an ex NFLer, but Ryans' wife is from Houston and has family in Houston (or at least Texas, I don't remember).

He was drafted and played a good chunk of his career with that org as well

Trying to figure out how Eagles fans can even gloat about a game like this. Purdy injured, 4th stringer gets concussed, Purdy back in but can't throw, the defense is frustrated and tired and the refs have been handing yardage to the Eagles like candy all game.

What are they supposed to do? It's a trip to the Super Bowl, I'd be celebrating it too.

Yeah amen. All we are gonna hear about is how great the Eagles defense is after this game It’s not too hard to play defense when you literally know the opposing team is going to run the ball vs pass.

And maybe im biased - I totally wanted the 49ers to win. But how long do you let #42 jab at players until you throw a freaking flag? The guy literally tried stirring up **** for like 2 mins and then Trent Williams finally takes matters into his own hands and gets tossed? That was 100% garbage by the refs. Probably wouldn’t change the outcome but geez that was horrible officiating.
