Idk. He was covering the corner and it’s not like he decked him. It was a push. If it’s not Mahomes on a busted ankle I doubt that’s called.
It was late. But they will call it every time you do it to Mahomes. Not smart.

How much holding was there on that last play before that moron pushed Mahomes when he was out of bounds for a 15 yard penalty?? Laughable.

Should be a good Superbowl - Go Eagles ! (FU Kansas Shitty)
The chiefs O-Line is allowed to hold on every play so the NFL can protect Mahomes.

But let's be fair, Cincy has the ball and needs 5 years for a 1st down so on 2nd and 3rd down they go for a low percentage 35 yard pass play. Morons.

#58 on the Bengals with one of the most idiotic plays I've ever seen at the end there.
Wrong. 58 didn't do anything wrong. Barely grazes Mahomes who goes full soccer and wins the Oscar, and the moron refs and league give him the call. It's a tough look when you make that call at that juncture without being 100% sure you saw 58 take a cheap late hit.

Not to mention holding should have been called in 2 different places on KC on that play. Clear as day textbook, must calls, that just didn't get called. Mahomes never gets to the edge without the holds by both OTs. Not sure how you "miss" those unless you are trying to help one team win.

Cinny has every right to be furious.

Nah Chet, Ossai clearly commits the foul, that much is correct.

However, you are right that they missed, at the very least, holding on Hendrickson on that same play.

They also incorrectly called Hilton on DPI, missed Jones' Illegal Hands to the Face on the Burrow intentional grounding call, missed a block in the back on Moore's good punt return, and a pretty blatant Roughing the QB earlier in the game.

All in all, that officiating crew should be embarrassed by what they did. At key and critical moments of the game, the 100% interjected themselves and provided a clear-cut one-sided advantage to KC. And as a KS resident, I have to listen to dumbass KC bandwagoners for the next 2 weeks.

I would have lost my mind as a coach at that. Not many times I'd go too crazy complaining to refs, but that one would have broken the dam.
Yeah Taylor was rightfully going off on the refs after that.

I’ve certainly never been much a of a sports are rigged person, but that play certainly had that type of vibe to it.

Yeah, two shitty games imo.

First one because of the quarterback situation and second because of the refs. I’m not one to knock on the NFL much, I get plenty of good entertainment out of it, but barf.

I agree with @Bonzai12 about the “brawl” at the end of the first game. The Eagles were acting like a bunch of thugs the whole game. I loved the throw down.

I’ll be pulling for Mahomes and the Chefs as much as it pains me. Just can’t stand Philly or their fans much at all.

As much as it pains me, I served aboard the USS Philadelphia when I was in the Navy. I haven't watched baseball in decades, but bought a Philly's hat this past summer. I just can't do it with football. I can't root for them. I can cheer for the Flyers in hockey, not root...but cheer. But the Eagles??...

The NFL product has been so bad this season. There have been crazy games, not going to lie about that, but simply for how awful some teams have been such as what happened to the Raiders in Arizona earlier in the season. You can count the number of good teams on one hand, whereas the majority of the league is filled with just boring averageness. It's like they took the Western Conference in the NHL and expanded it across the entire league. I guess we'll probably see record ratings in the Stupid Bowl as well even though it has be one of the most non-eventual ones I can remember off the top of my head. What's leading the way IMO in an awful NFL product is that the rules are now completely subjective and fall into the grey zone. The "roughing the passer" call was just disgusting, are you saying that if you're a second or two off? It will practically cost you the game? Too many field goals are correspondingly winning prime matches. Who cares about cool QB battles when all you need is to get it to the 45-yard line and have your 97% accuracy kicker win a game.

Also, I watched a bit of the Broncos this season, bad Broncos are the best type of Broncos. I am sort of shocked at all the anti-Wilson posts I read in this thread. I am not saying he was good, it seems he tends to get really panic-y when he feels an ounce of pressure for getting sacked, but whoever this HC was that got fired, was absolutely rubbish. Zero IQ in offensive playcalling. Then factor in that Broncos have no line that can protect him nor a running game, plus Wilson had shoulder problems throughout the year due to an injury. Compared to the Bills, I see Allen having years to set up a pass. That is just Murphy's Law in effect. I have more faith in him rebounding, but I am not sure where the rest of the team goes. The defence was setting record numbers in points allowed during the season and I am a noob who doesn't really care, but I am not sure how that is sustainable. My prediction is that the offence gets better, while the defence takes a step back leading them around slightly below a .500 record next season.

Mahomes is awesome though, nobody can hate his talent level because he truly is one of the greats. I get it that people have to hate him around the CO area because he's on the Chiefs.

For me, Mahomes is a great player and it's no denying it at all. It's all the gushing the commentators put on him again and again that is nauseating after a while. I don't even care that he plays for KC. Again, it's the non-stop fanboy feedback we get from the games that puts me over the top.

It's not even really Mahomes fault either. It's weird because in general Mahomes seems like a pretty likeable guy, but Colinsworth and Romo celebrating his passes into the dirt get real annoying

I just can't agree with any Mahomes hate. Not saying you guys are doing this but I've seen a lot of criticizing, taking shots, down playing, etc mainly because of noise around him. He really is that special. I only started watching football around 1998 so I didn't see a lot of greats but he's the best QB I've ever seen.

He also comes off as one of the most chill and nicest guys too. You can see the arrogance and jackass-ery (I'm work shopping this word) from a mile away with Brady, Rodgers, etc. Mahomes is very easy to root for as someone who is a fan of a neutral team in the NFC like myself.

Mahomes is legit and will be a top 5 QB ever... he's not above the jackass-ery though. Just look at his comments last night after winning that were a shot at how Cincinatti celebrated last year.

Personally, I think Jalen Hurts is one of the best stories in sports and would love to see him grab the title to secure the cycle.
