So the Raiders think it's a good idea to pay a WR $28M per year??

And give up two premium picks for him. The Raiders just suck at modern NFL team building strategy. Remember how they traded Mack because they felt like they could use the cap space better. This is their use of that space, overpaying a WR who was going to hold out.

Different regime.

Lmao the packers just traded devonte Adams to the raiders after Rodgers signed his new deal!? He can’t be happy about that
He doesn't care. Reports out there stating that he knew about the deal happening and didn't bother stopping it because Adams was not going to play for the Packers anymore. The deal was basically finalized while Rodgers was negotiating his extension.

Rodgers seems like the kind of guy who thinks he can win with scrub WRs, which is weird because all he's done the last few years is throw the ball to Adams.

Welp, Watson just got plenty of cash to throw at his accusers

Weird. Cleveland was told they were out, Mayfield immediately demanded a trade, but the team immediately said they wouldn't grant it. Now this.

I guess the Saints just plain bailed, leaving the Texans to have to walk back all Arrested Development-like and accept the Browns' offer.

Whatever. I at least had a modicum of respect for the original Browns. This franchise is pure trash and one of the worst-run organizations in professional sport. They deserve everything they get out of this.

I'm still remembering back to when they basically paid millions to Brock Osweiler to play backup in Denver. Made no sense.

I have a friend on Xbox live who is a big Buckeyes/Browns fan. He told me that someone wrote his obituary that read "At my funeral I want my pallbearers to be players from the Cleveland Browns. So they can let me down one more time". He wanted the same for his, after his inevitable death.

what a victory for Watson though. I mean he goes head to head with the Texans owner, calls the owner out for running a crappy organization.….and then he forces his way into maybe the only organization in the league that’s worse…….because of what I can only assume is just a bigger pay day. That’s the change in the world people want to see, Deshaun.

Rare W from the Rockies

Unfortunately the Rockies have done this before. They’ll get two, three star players locked down and then f*** everything else up. Monfort seems fine opening up the checkbook for enough notable names to keep putting butts in seats but then kinda scoffs when more needs to be done. And eventually they try and blame the star player when things hit the skids.

Yeah we'll see, but he is spending money and the pipeline is getting interesting at least. No one believes they are contenders yet, but at least they appear to be doing things that build the team instead of tearing it apart. The decisions by Schmidt seem far more logical than what Bridich did, but maybe that comes from our ultra-low settings going into this last week.

At least now that money will not be in Bride-Itch’s hands, a guy who almost literally struck out on every single free agent he signed during his tenure.

Is the bullpen still utter shit? Pretty sure Bridich built the very worst bullpen in MLB, gonna take a minute to fix THAT mess.

Sure hope they take those stupid f***ing fences out of Coors.
They signed a new closer but thankfully didn't throw away Wade Davis type money on him. The young arms aren't great but the high priced bullpen arms Bridich signed were horrendous. The team seems to have learned their pitching has to mostly be homegrown.

I am surprised the wins is lower than last year, might bet on it. Giants won't be as good, maybe Padres are a little better so that washes out. Dbacks are still bad but Rockies didn't play them very well last year. Dodgers going to crush it as always. Feels like this team could get to .500 if they don't have too many injuries.

I figured it wouldn't be long until the Chiefs faced the consequences of the Mahomes deal. People take these over 40m deals too lightly, its really hard to win a SB when your QB is in the top 5 cap hits for the position.

Nice haul for the Chiefs though, the desperation of these GMs trading for WR on top of the market deals is amazing. I guess if the Raiders or Dolphins do really well it might be accepted, but I think its nuts to give away that much capital only to pay top of the market for a position that doesn't age so well.
