Yay, the Chefs get a little weaker. Hill is a pretty horrid human being, but a good player.

Uh, who's throwing him the ball in Miami though?
Tua time!

I don't think the Chiefs are top SB contenders again for some years as Mahomes gets paid. Eventually, his contract won't be top 5 and they will have some space again, but this is reminiscent of a lot of top QBs in the league, even Wilson. When you get out of that rookie deal and then get the mega extension many QBs go through a period where you'd think in their prime they should win titles but they don't. Brady even went through it, his 10 years without a title were his biggest cap hits as a %. Eventually the cap hit % goes down and the team can sign more veterans to get back in contention. I think the Bills and the Allen contract are something to watch out for too, this probably is last year they can add talent and in future years guys are going to be walking away so they better get their title now.

They pick 29th and 30th, not exactly high picks but yes 1st rounders that they need to fix many of their holes.

Pokecheque

I’ve been told it’s spelled “Pokecheck”

They have picks 29, 30, 50, 62, 94, 103, 135, and more late rounders in this years draft alone. I think the Chiefs will be worse this upcoming season but if they draft right (this is the team that pulled Mahomes and Hill to begin with) they'll be setting up a good team around IMO the best QB in the league.

I know the Jays were hunting for a lefty bat in the outfield, so it looks like they got their guy. Not much power but hopefully still a decent add.
Good trade for both. Grichuk gets them a better road bat and decent defense. Tapia inflated his numbers at home with his speed and his ability to hit to all fields. On the road he was pretty much useless .
