He did win the Walter Peyton man of the year and one of his detractors is brash Richard Sherman so consider the source.

Sherman isn't the only one, just the loudest. Over the years there's been a lot of whispers of Wilson not being liked in the dressing room, fake, "not black enough", Russ/Pete vs LOB + Lynch, etc.. All it stemming from that horrible call in the SB imo.

I've listened to a few interviews and podcasts over the years from ex Seahawks and when asked about that moment and what could have been, "lack of accountability" was brought up at least a few times. Which probably was a shot at both Russ and Pete.

Rumours were he's looking at Mahones type of money. 50M range.

He ain't getting Mahomes or Rodgers money. He's at 35m on average on current contract, Broncos get benefit of Hawks eating some upfront money so he's cheaper than average next two seasons. He might get bumped to 40m but I can't see him getting the top of the market, he's just not at that point. What the Pack are giving Rodgers is ridiculous, but he had them over a barrel. Rodgers basically just demanded everything they could give them. I could see Wilson being more pragmatic and being willing to take a little less so the team can sign all his skill position weapons and keeping talent on the defense. He doesn't feel like a guy that is going to hold a team hostage for everything they got or threaten to retire.

Pay the dude $40-$45M and be done with it. Spotrac's got his estimated value at $42M/year.

I'm not the biggest Russ fan in the world, but holy cripes - you guys want a top shelf QB.......AND you don't want to pay him?.......Wishful thinking.

I'll take another 6 years of Lock level QBs before I pay a good one /s

His best leverage is right now with the ntc. So if he wants to push to get an extension done now this is the time to do it.

I'm sure Dick Monfort has a good gut feeling for this off-season. Doesn't need to listen to some geek.

Plus they can't be losing team if they never play.

Not sure how good this bloke is, but considering how important QBs are, why did Seattle trade a star QB?
Seattle is going to rebuild. Their team has been awful for a while now, Wilson was the only player holding them up. I fully expect them to hit rock bottom next season and finish in the bottom three.

Has more to do with the fact that he has two years remaining on his current contract. I don't want to commit big money to the guy when he'll be entering his age 36 season at the start of his new deal.

The Rockies saw the Broncos make a blockbuster move so they had to make one of their own

This guy wants to improve the team by getting good players that cost money? GET OUTTA HERE we're putting bottom dollar crap out on the field and getting paid by opposing fans and the drunks on the party deck!

It is a damn shame that forcing Monfort to sell was not one of the conditions to end the lockout.

Jokic really needs a partner. And I'm not talking Jamal Murray, I'm talking about a true stud like Luka, Trae, or Ja.

He's obviously not getting one of those guys, but it would be nice. Also, probably the only way he would ever get a ring.

Plus, Nuggets have to be the smallest team I've ever seen. Every Toronto player seemed like they had a couple feet on them. Never seen so many second, third, and fourth chances. No length, except for Jokic.
