I think it's pretty clear after that Broncos win that they have found their franchise QB. He was on the roster this whole time...

Didn't realize the Nuggets were 2nd in the West, thought they were in the play-in game or worse with amount of times Malone has been fired on Nuggets twitter

The "effort" by teams this season is utterly laughable. No one cares about the regular season even. Look how many bad losses have been taken by the teams with the best records this year, Nuggets included. Celtics losing back to back home games against the Magic just the latest in the we don't care efforts. NBA continues to take more steps to being pro wrestling.

Still feels like Jokic has to go into God mode in order for this team to win games, and I actually like the bench quite a bit. Truly great teams can withstand the occasional ordinary night from their best player. Doesn't feel like the Nuggets can. And yes, it has to do with the issue I've touched upon before, we'll see what Denver does at the deadline.

They will do next to nothing at the deadline. They might get a cheap bought out vet after the deadline but that's about all they can or want to do. MPJ hasn't created some extra trade value so he's not getting moved. Other than that what could they do meaningful?

What is coming between now and playoffs is a revamped D. They surely won't play like this in April and May and neither will their opponents. I think this is more of the we don't care about the regular season. Things will certainly change in the playoffs.

No, they need to find a way to ditch him. So sick of seeing him laughing and grinning on the bench in street clothes because he gets injured every five seconds. f*** that, send this max contract having fool packing.

We'll see what they do. If the plan continues to be to just get a cheap add and just cross their fingers and hope MPJ is healthy for the playoffs (note that even when healthy he's still perfectly capable of helping the Nuggets lose games), then ownership is perfectly content wasting the prime years of a generational talent. Alex English all over again, but at least with English, ain't no one was gonna compete with the Celtics and Lakers at the time.

And so how do you get rid of him? Same thing with Russ, its one thing to just be an all or nothing, this guy sucks get rid of him fan. Another to understand how contracts and cap matter. In both cases. until those guys raise their game and prove worthy of a trade by another party its pointless to say get rid of them and better to just wonder if they can somehow be additive to the team's chances.

This makes no sense, you want him to be a shitty teammate and sulk on the bench?

I don't think it's as bad as the Russ situation. GMs get rid of bad contracts all the time in the NBA.

At least when Jamal sat out last year, he looked unhappy that he wasn't able to contribute. And no, I don't want him to be a shitty teammate, but as a fan, it doesn't sit well with me that the guy seems to be cool with life on the bench.

Bad contracts in the nba are traded all the time. Dead cap calculations make it pretty tough in the NFL. Although Carson Wentz’s deal was amazingly traded. We just need to find an ultimate sucker to take Russ, but then we all know he’ll be an All-Pro the very next year after he’s out of a Broncos uni (that’s just our luck).

Do you really think the team is better off with MPJ gone? They dump his deal and they got nothing for it. Is his smiling on the bench costing them points? It may be easier to get rid of his deal but he's not blocking anyone from minutes. The contract dumps are done mostly by bad teams trying to avoid tax on a losing team or one trying to burn it down and build it back up. Which of these situations are the Nuggets in???

Jamal was active on the bench and interacting with the players last year. MPJ has been doing the same thing this year when he was playing, rooting on his teammates.

Travis Hunter is coming

I'm not a fan, and I think it's a huge waste of a max contract. If you're down, good for you. I would like to have that cap space available for another star player. MPJ is not a star player.

Whatever, I'm not a fan.

They are way over the cap so about all they can do is trade for someone on similar cap. Do you think someone is going to give up a player with that cap hit that is very productive?

Nope, but I can dream. A third piece, one that actually plays, is needed if we are gonna get Jokic a ring.

I think the Zephyrs were more relevant in their heyday than the Rockies are now.

On a side note, I believe the last Avs game had Rachel, Katie, and Lauren 1.0 all in the House. If they had somehow gotten Jbara too it would've been everyone.

I haven’t watched the Nuggets this year - but is Bones as horrible as they’re saying he is? The advanced stats are sayin Bones is the worst defender in the entire league

He is very raw. Excellent shooter when he is on, and can shoot from Lillard depth. Great ball handler and distributer, but no, I don't think he provides any defense at all. But I don't really know basketball so someone else could probably give a better answer.
