I watched it, but man I just really can't get into soccer. It's faster than American football, but it just doesn't give me the thrill inside.

Congrats to Argentina though. The France goalie just couldn't make a save. Also didn't help that one of their shooters missed the net completely. Also I guess people love the penalty kicks, but I thought another overtime would've been cool.

We are spoiled by NHL playoff OT rules. That game should have kept going. What a match though. Has to be an all time great soccer game right?

Best I have ever seen when you consider the stakes. Yeah PKs felt really anti climatic after that nonstop action and close misses.

I know the rest of the world doesn't care but North American sports have a lot of ideas they could use for tie breaking in soccer. I mean go to 8 on 8 for a third ET or reinstate the golden goal. Just too much at stake to end these this way when you only have them once every 4 years.

With how much soccer they’re making them play now it’s probably a health and safety thing. Also games that went to golden goal were awful to watch, so I imagine the soccer is boring crowd would have a field day there lol.

Gutted for Muani who actually had again a great performance and had that great chance on the 123rd minute to which E Martinez had the save of the tournament.

Messi got his WC, but gutted for the French loss.

Just keep playing. No gimmicks.

As a Seattle fan do you even think this is possible? I think Pete played hardball with him to conform Russ to play run first/bootleg and Russ bitched/whined his way out of town to us.

Russ started out as a humble and genuine guy. I am not kidding when I say Seattle absolutely adored him. He wore his Christian beliefs on his sleeves but it was endearing and he walked the talk. At some point 2-3 years back it seems like his success got the best of him and he started to change. I think he felt he was above the QB1 position. IMO he needs to get grounded again and go back to the attitude that made him great. Losing so much this year, playing poorly while doing it, and having your teammates p*ssed at you should be a good start. I also think he needs a tough coach that calls him on his BS. Perfect storm for you guys this year in a bad way. Maybe the Avs cup win cursed your other sports franchises. :sarcasm:

I know it's only been a few games but I hope we keep latavius Murray
He'll make the perfect number two behind Javonte next year.

I saw some second hand retailers had tickets for today as low as 15 bucks. And they still couldn't sell them.

Well hopefully we can stay above the Cardinals and maybe pass a couple of other teams before the season's over. Because I really don't want Seattle to have a spectacular pick with our first.... Well I guess and even more spectacular pics since it's already guaranteed top 10 or whatever.

Who cares at this point, trade is done. Decent chance they beat the Rams. Chiefs game is probably a mess. Chargers game could be a fun challenge to see if they can ruin a rivals chances. At least 4th place and it's easier schedule is locked up

I'm pretty petty and spiteful. So I want Seattle to have the worst possible pick.

I actually like Marlon Mack as well. Keep Murray Mack and Pookie and concentrate on getting some decent lineman in here instead. Actually for the entire offensive side of the ball we are pretty much set except for the crappy line.

I doubt Mack wants to come back to be 4th string. Murray seems likely to be back unless he finds a better opportunity. Boone still around the chart too next year. Probably best to have a UDFA around for that 4th spot and hope next year isn't an injury fest again.
