Just when they gave me a glimmer of hope with that big play from Mack...

I'm glad they finally scored to give Jeudy the TD hat trick (I know that's not a thing) but I'm still irrationally pissed that the previous play they actually showed some ingenuity and threw in the nose tackle to run it in, but it gets called back because some dipshit jumped early.

Anyway, the Broncos are still an abomination of a team. They made a game of it but they still deserved to lose. Hope Russ is okay, you could tell right away he was in trouble.

I think he's done for at least a couple of weeks, maybe longer. He was already ruled out with a concussion during the game. And he had a big knot on the side of his head after the tackle. It didn't look good whatsoever.

When they did that close up of his face laying on the ground - the dude was completely out of it. He looked like a semi had just hit him.

I thought they looked decent yesterday. I still think Hackett is gone at the end of this year. It's unfortunate because Hackett seems like a nice dude in general, but he clearly doesn't seem to have enough a-hole in him to be an NFL coach.

I agree. I feel like he’s way to much of a type B person to be a high end head coach.

I just think he's a ridiculously bad head coach. When you can't even do Clock Management 101 to the point where the fans are actively mocking you, personality has nothing to do with it. You just suck.

This is the THIRD TIME under Joe Ellis (yes he played a part in Hackett's hiring too) that they went out and hired a guy who was in over his head on Day One. Hope that changes now that the ownership debacle is finally done and Ellis is finally gone, but you never know.

I don't think Vic was in over his head. I think Vic just was in the completely wrong place at the completely wrong time. Put Vic with a QB who could control the offense by himself, and I think he would have been a fantastic coach. There was no way in hell though that Vic Fangio was going to develop an innovative offense and a young QB. The Hackett hire had me really excited because I am tired of the Broncos going to the defensive HC well again and again.......The most successful young coaches lately have all been offensive HCs....

I wasn't counting Vic. Josh McDouchebag, Vance Joseph, and now Nathaniel Can't Hackett. The McDouchebag signing also saw Ellis (I'm not going to blame Bowlen as he was likely suffering from the early effects of dementia) hand him GM duties in addition when Josh didn't even want that hat! Absolutely ridiculous.

Fangio was handed a garbage team. Still I don't think he was a very good head coach, but compared to Hackett he's George Halas.

Ah that makes sense. Yeah I honestly think Bowlen and the team were hiding the dementia thing far longer than when it was actually released. If there's one hope that I have for this new ownership, it's that there's a clear vision of what they want this franchise to actually be.

The Broncos could have hired Jeff Hackett instead and would have gotten the same results.

He should be out for week 15 at least. The draft pick to Seattle is a sunk cost so if he’s not fully ready to play might as well sit him for the remainder of the season if he is cleared for only week 18.

So, hold up here for a sec...the Broncos had no way of preventing the Raiders from swooping in and taking Netane Muti off the practice squad? They couldn't just promote the guy, waive someone else, and keep him before that happened!?

yup, there is no obligation for a PS player to sign with the team he's currently with. If they have multiple offers to be on a 53 they can choose.

So they COULD have kept him had they convinced him to sign.

The guy(s) they had ahead of him on the depth chart apparently suck so that's not good. Then again this team's a big loser anyway so I don't blame the guy for hitting eject.

I mean, who the hell wouldn't want out of this dumpster fire?

that said, he sucked big time and this probably won't affect much in the grand scheme.

Muti knows if guys get healthy next year he's going to be deep on the depth chart again so can't blame him for leaving. Stop making it a big deal though, if he's playing for the Raiders that means they are a total mess. Guy is a decent run blocker but can't pass block well and that why he didn't get time last week. Wattenburg totally sucks but something tells me Chris Jones would have blown up Muti just as badly.
