What a f***ing jackass. Hackett lost this game AGAIN... because he keeps playing Fumble Gordon the turd. He f***ed up at the worst possible time AGAIN.

At some point it just has to become : "hey shithead... With how EPICALLY BAD you are, we think that you are actively BETTING against your own team and affecting the outcome. Tell me, is your head coach in on it with ya? Cuz that would make a ton of sense."

I read an article that said that SOMEONE, ANYONE needed to make sure Russ knew that on that last 3rd and 10 - when a first down would have won the game - that taking a sack wouldn't be too bad because it would burn another 40 seconds off the clock instead of throwing an incomplete pass which stopped the clock AND the raiders were out of timeouts.

Now this didn't occur to ME during the game... but then again, I wasn't born into football with my dad as a NFL coach. HOW IN THE f*** DID IT NOT OCCUR TO THIS MASSIVE, CLUELESS f***TARD??? He's supposedly been coaching for a long time....and is supposed to have some kind of brain as a head coach.

You can bet your life that the next time this kind of situation happens, I will remember it and that taking a sack or just running the ball up the field and getting tackled will waste a lot of time for the opposition. I'm still learning all of the details of the game having been only an avid NFL fan for the last 8 years or so. What the f*** is Hacketts excuse?

Nuggets just went into Dallas to take on Luka and the Mavs without Joker, Blue Arrow, or AG, and they won. The biggest (and weirdest) play of the night? Vlatko! A last-second three from half court on a pre-halftime redo.

So…did the Broncos play today? I didn’t notice.

Hackett is a horrible coach, no doubting that.

However, what an inexcusable mistake by Wilson at the end with 1:43 left to throw an incomplete pass. Just f***ing slide down and stay in bounds you idiot.
Am I wrong or was a passing play called in that situation?

It was a passing play that was called. They should have passed it earlier in that series rather than leaving themselves in a 3rd and 10 situation. I am not sure how much of that was Hackett, and how much was Kubiak.

They need to have 3 or 4 pass plays only to be used in such a situation to move the chains. When the other team knows that you'll only call running plays the Broncos will never get the necessary 1st down.

This. You can't tell me Russ isn't actively trying to sabotage after watching that play.

No problem with the call to attempt a pass, but the second it wasn't wide open you eat it and go down to let the clock run. This is basics 101. You're telling me that Russ a SB winning QB didn't understand this? I call BS, he knew what he was doing.

I will blame Hackett for having utterly too much faith in Gordon. Trusting players who continually make the same mistake is the quickest way to get fired. Gordon should have been gone weeks ago. Crazy to me that Hackett was willing to risk his HC career for Melvin Gordon.

The worst part about this fumble was less than a quarter earlier you watched Murray punch it in from 1 no problem. Why not go back to him? Murray as far as I can remember hasn't fumbled since he got here.

The are simply too many RBs on practice squads around the league, to continue to have Gordon on the team. Go find a practice squad guy and give them a chance and show Gordon the curb. It should have been a red flag that not one team gave the guy an offer in the offseason, but dumbass Paton gave him another chance, even though fumbling has been a problem for years now. Mind blowing.

Even if a pass play is called in that situation, Wilson has been in this league long enough to know that he should either A) audible at the line of scrimmage to a running play, or B) take the sack by just going down and letting the defender touch him.

Throwing an incomplete pass was worst-case-scenario not including outright turning the ball over. It allowed the Raiders to drive down the field.

yeah I don't get this at all either......Murray is way more consistent than Gordon, even if he doesn't have Gordon's big play ability. Even if Hackett has a lovefest going on with Gordon, use him between the 20's and pull him when you get close to the goal line so you don't sacrifice points. The optics of having him in there and fumbling at the end of drives is just freaking horrible and it happens again and again.

It was coming off a timeout and I was watching Russ and the coaches talk very intently on it. The instruction should have been Russ we need to run the clock so unless you have a good look at it just roll and take a knee.

In the end I don't think it mattered much, the Raiders with 1:15 instead would still probably have kicked a tying FG with how the D played yesterday. I really think that should have slowed the Evero as HC train. That was a piss poor strategy yesterday going zone. I get it they went to it to prevent big runs from Jacobs and that mostly worked but it made it way too easy to complete passes with the degraded pass rush. Its very interesting to me that the talking heads covering this team completely whiffed on at least mentioning how the Chubb trade probably cost them this game. Not that it really matters in the bigger picture but not having a premium rusher out there gave Carr way too much time and he crushes the zone. He never made a poor pass that was likely to get picked. Learning experience for Evero and the team, zone doesn't work with this secondary.

I understand what you're saying BUT you're asking an NFL QB who refers to himself as "Mr. Unlimited" to change the play call - as flawed and stupid as it might be - because it's the right thing to do?

To me, that is like putting MacKinnon on the ice in a 4-3 game with 50 seconds left with Bednar telling him - "Nate, SHOOT at the empty net from your own zone - don't worry about icing, it's all good we've got my son J.T. Compher for faceoffs..." and then people expecting Nate to do the opposite and make the safe play out of the zone without trying for the empty net.

So sure, Wilson should know better but the Broncos have been terrible on 3rd down all season - what made the coaches think - THIS TIME we're going to make this 3rd and 10???

Speak of the devil...

Better late than never I guess

That f***ing idiot is probably standing there with that moronic grin - "what does waive mean"? "Am I still starting on Sunday?"

I hope he saved his money (probably not) because he is DONE in the NFL... it's over.

Yep, most every fan was screaming bloody murder (including me) when Paton chose to bring him back, that mistake is entirely on him.

I'm beginning to think ownership should get rid of both Hackett and the GM. I have no faith whatsoever in either guy.

That’s what heineke did vs Philly. He rolled out same as Russ but he didn’t see if open so he took a knee. Not sure why that wasn’t reminders to Wilson as well. We either get the first down or we keep the clock running. If they get a first down and go out of bounds they take 3 kneel downs and win the game. Go down in bounds leaves rhe raiders 70 seconds to work. In the end it wouldn’t really change much but the raiders maybe don’t dump 2 short passes to Hollins before the midfield strike to Cole and then the wheel route to Jacobs. Who knows if Jacobs opts to get out of bounds earlier on that pass and save more time.

But still operationally a poor decision by Wilson to throw vs just take a sack and keep the clock moving.

remaining games for Denver are carolina, Arizona, Rams, Ravens, Chargers and twice vs Chiefs.

I don’t see Denver getting more than 6 wins this season so it’s going to be a top 10 pick to Seattle. Too 5 if they only win 1 more game. If they win 2 probably ends up 3-7 OVerall.
