Did you ever think that maybe that's what Wilson is doing now and has been doing ever since he saw early on that it wasn't going to work with this coach because of a variety of reasons?

I'm not saying that is for sure what's happening but if the Broncos finish with a decent record, maybe he'd need to endure this guy for several years instead of just 1.

Besides, I didn't see ANY difference with this offence when Rypien was playing against the jets and we lost 16 to 9.

You would think it would look different and 'better' with a QB that was 'prepared' and didn't post Instagram pics of his vacation around the world but it didn't.
If Wilson is purposely tanking so to speak to get the coach fired then that's f***ed up. And I sure as hell don't want that guy anywhere near this franchise is that's the case. That's an arrogant move that shows he thinks he is more important than even his own teammates.

He just got 250M extension, you play hard no matter what the situation might be.

Using Rypien as a measuring stick to if Hackett's system works or not is not great as Rypien is a lower tier backup. We're lucky to get a passable game when he is out there.

A better measuring stick of Hackett's system is Rodgers, who won back to back MVPs in Hackett's system and now without Hackett's system Rodgers looks average. So clearly it works, it's just requires a QB that's actually willing to try.

IMO if there was a way to do it I get away from both Hackett and Wilson this year. Unfortunately we are stuck with Wilson for the forseeable future. Which sucks because it's at least 3 years of horseshit football, with a half assing it QB.

So Klint Kubiak will be calling the offensive plays today. Hackett is doing everything to save his job. This might actually win us the game, which will be horrible. The longer we have Hackett, the more this franchise will suffer. He wasn't ready for a HC job and the Broncos giving him so much leeway isn't going to help anyone.

my theory is that Kubiak is taking over the playcalling because if they have to get rid of Hackett, then Evero becomes HC and Hackett/Outten are both gone. Kubiak moves into the OC spot if Evero gets a chance and they have some sort of continuity. I don't buy for a second that Hackett made this decision....it was made for him.

I sincerely hope that's the case.

I do too. The other weird scenario would be keeping Evero as DC, Kubiak as OC, and bringing back Gary K....I dunno if thats even plausible (if Gary would want to coach again)........They could bring Munchak possibly back in that scenario too.....but now I'm just daydreaming lol

Letting Munchak go was one of the stupidest decisions ever made.

That’s pretty sound logic.

Conspiracy theories linger about those four games Elway missed in Dan Reeves last season.
