Bills thought their 1 weakness was YEETing the ball when they f***ed up. Turns out, they have a lot more fold-up tables to YEET than just that.

Yeah part of the renegotiated contract… gonna guess a bit later, but it is certainly happening.

What kills me the most about Frost is how he is completely willing to throw others under the bus all the time… today it was Whipple. The guy he just hired

The solution to a punter, should simply be never punt. Wasn’t there a coach in division 2 that refused to punt?
With offensive penalties almost always being 10 yards, you have to punt some times. 4th and 24 on your own end, won't work out for you 90% of the time. Glad the broncos seem to have a decent one in Martin.

We will see if he's still around in a few days. I don't think you pay for a punter more than minimum but that's just my opinion.

Meh. He was 4th in net average last year and seems to be very liked in the locker room. The Broncos and afford paying a punter a little more.

Will be curious to see what the Broncos do at this week. They seem hellbent on finding an ILB - they keep saying their guys on the roster are doing good but bringing in new faces every week. I think we trade one of the WRs and pick up an ILB or corner. Seems like a lot of people think we will pick up a backup QB too and let Rypien/Johnson both go. I hope this is one of the more active roster turnover weeks we have had in a while.

Being active at this point in the calendar is a bad sign. Maybe pick up one player at this point, but teams picking up multiple players and putting them on the roster means they had poor talent to begin with. Trades maybe but you get nearly worthless picks for them as teams know you are going to release them anyways. Time for this organization to act like a winner and just release some guys who are good but not good enough.

I'm reading he also made some sort of jab at Trev Alberts (no secret those two are a bit at odds) but I can't find an example.

He at least seemed to take ownership of the onside kick, still perplexes me he finally was forced to hire a special teams coach and then flat out didn't listen to him or let him make the call in what ended up being the turning point of the game. Unreal.

It's all worth it for the memes.

I sent that exact tweet to my brother who is a big Nebraska fan.

I've read that they had an argument where Frost blamed Alberts for the loss because of the forced staff changes. It is all rumor though from what I have seen.

I got the popcorn out on this. I'm not a Nebraska fan (despite spending my early childhood and late high school in the state), but I know so many people who are diehard. I remember the Frost warning stuff and how arrogant they all very quickly got (and I thought Frost would succeed there so I though they were right)... so seeing this is pure enjoyment for me.

Yeah, I was here for all that and it definitely felt a bit like putting the cart before the horse.

Don't know if this has been posted here yet but I saw online that even if Frost wins his next 50 games in a row, he'll still have a worse record than Bo Pelini.

Yeah...the axe is falling. Just a matter of exactly when. As for next steps, I don't know, but I hope Alberts realizes that big names and big money are not going to get it done.

Yeah I saw that Pelini stat... just shows how far Nebraska has fallen. I really think a part of this is simply the new world in college football... the SEC rules the day and gets the best players (and can pay them) and then you have the blue bloods of the Big Ten that Nebraska simply falls behind. Competing, yearly, with Ohio State is just a really unlikely thing to do. Best case is play for a Michigan State situation where you're pretty good some years, average more and bad a few. This is against the DNA of Nebraska fans who were used to running all over the Big 8 with Oklahoma. No Nebraska fan wants to hear it, but they traded their Texas problem with an Ohio State problem and only made the competitive situation worse.

I'm here hoping Nebraska swoops in and grabs Harsin from Auburn. I would really be grabbing popcorn then.

Broncos traded Malik Reed and a 7th to Pittsburgh for a 6th round pick.

Also - Broncos waived Agim.

Reed might be a trade they regret.

Perhaps. He's not a bad player, but a fairly one dimensional one.

They have a couple of pretty cheap options at OLB now - Cooper and Browning - who they obviously feel that are around the same as Reed. Reed also clears $2.3M of salary, I believe.

I'm curious as to whether the Rox rank so high because the fans are still attending or baseball's overall attendance numbers are low. I see ballgames all the time that look like a preliminary round of the WJCs, especially if they're matinee games.
Plenty of transplants that never switched allegiances get to watch their team bomb homers at Coors, cheap ticket prices (3rd lowest in the league) snag the casual fans who don't care if the team they watch is putrid, and the top deck anchors the profit by selling tons of beer to alcoholics.

The perfect storm to support mediocrity.

Well, the one thing that organization has not yet managed to f*** up is the fan experience. It's still fun to watch a Rockies game at Coors Field, no matter how horrid the team is.
