When CU hired Mel Tucker, another guy that went hard for was some OC from a power conference, his name was Ryan Day.

Anyways, the year Mel Tucker left, they wanted another OC from a power conference and he wanted to be here but he didn't take the job because the AD forced him to keep Chiaverini and Hagan on the staff. The OC's name is Steve Sarkisian.

They went from those names to Dorrell because he was living in Colorado at the time. Also gave him a fully guaranteed contract with a huge buyout  The school doesn't give about the athletics program and the AD is horrible.

Who cares about football anyways, the basketball team is good.

Sark would have crashed and burned at CU too… he’s going to in Austin.

I think he would have done great here

If he fails at Texas, it's probably because that place is run by boosters.

Don’t see it… guy is completely overrated as a coach. Washington had tons of resources and he only led them to an average team. At CU with below average Pac12 resources, he’d fail pretty hard.

CFB game of the year (maybe a hot take ) happened in Boone today. Appalachian State vs UNC. Too bad App state lost, this place would have been a good party.

If Brice didn’t overthrow half the time, App might have ran away with the game 104-63. Looked like a hell of a scene in Boone though.

Today was full of great college football… so many good games. Richardson at Florida is legit… might be a Heisman contender…

CU is a joke of a football team.

Dorrell makes Vic Fangio look competent as a head coach.

How the f*** does he run Lewis back out to start the 2nd half? He's barely a high school level qb let alone D1 college. Not to mention the backup came in and led by far the most competent drive of the half by a mile.

Defense looked passable until they ran out of gas from being in the field every 5 seconds.

They are going to get run by Air Force on Saturday. It's going to be laughable. Like I'm talking Air Force will be playing backups by the 4th quarter laughable. Predicting 49-10 loss for CU.

All this doesn't really matter with what they've done to college football though. Unfortunately with transfer portal the way it is and money being paid in crazy amounts. You'll have 10-15 teams that can compete every year. And then there will be everyone else.

Every good player on smaller schools will transfer to the Alabama/Texas A&M/Ohio St type schools and will get paid to do so. The weaker players on the big schools will be forced to transfer to the lesser schools. And the cycle will repeat every year keeping the elite teams elite and and not allowing smaller schools to have much of a chance.

And before you say the elite teams weren't changing before this. Yes they were. In the 80s/90s/00s Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Florida, Florida St, Miami a few others were really dominant. Now not so much. It's shifted to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St, LSU etc.

Ozzy is performing the halftime show at the Ram vs Bull game? I didn't think he still had it in him at 73.
any gig that a musician can grab post age 50, they take it and the fans suffer

Every time I watch Josh Allen dazzle I think about how lucky we are to have Bradley Chubb.

I was incredibly anti Allen his draft year. Which is fun

The only thing that gives me some solace is that there’s no way the broncos develop Allen into the beast he is today.

F*** that. Seeing Ozzy live would be a pure, uncut nostalgia injection to the pleasure center of my brain. I wouldn't care if it sounded like dying cats.

Surely this will be the year Bradley Chubb lives up to his potential.

Yeah same. Just need to keep telling myself this.

It’s so weird that after Peyton and crew got spanked by the Seahawks that Elway seemed to become hellbent on winning a SB with defense. Thank god he’s gone. Never thought this but at the end - John Elway kinda turned into Dan Reeves. Who woulda thought.

Wow I can't believe the Ravens couldn't lock up Lamar Jackson to a long term deal before today's deadline. I wonder which side was being unreasonable?

It's also kind of dangerous for Lamar to be playing now as well. If he suffers a serious injury this season, he has no guaranteed money moving forward. The way he plays is also very risky in general. The guy loves big runs. I wonder if he'll make it a point to focus on pocket passing this season? But he's also playing for a contract now, so he still needs to showcase.

Balt is a well run franchise. Always battled Pitt in their division and the few times Cincy was good. Flacco was a very good not great QB. Also had McNair, Elvis, and Dilfer before Lamar.

Baltimore has always worked the cap well so I imagine that is what they are doing here. Trying to oay lamar while still working the cap. Remember Lamar has no agent, so that’s probably hurting negotiations at the moment.

I do wonder that if Baltimore misses the PO again in a tough afc, could they opt to move off a Lamar and draft a QB and deal Jackson for several good picks aka Watson and Wilson?

Lamar has no agent? That's a weird twist I wasn't expecting. Baltimore has been a very well run franchise. But finding a QB is hell...... (At least for the Broncos it is) so I thought that situation would be wrapped up a long time ago.

Hard to see Lamar being that effective if an opponent doesn't spend all it's focus worrying about his running game. He's acceptable throwing the ball but not worth the kind of money they are talking about once he has to settle into being a pocket passer. Same issue developed with Cam, great players in their early days but like RBs you don't get as much on the wrong side of 30.

rumor is that Lamar wanted a fully guaranteed contract.....I would have balked at that if I was the Ravens as well......he's always one major leg/head injury away from being a borderline starter in this league.

Wow, go Sun Belt conference
It was nice to see Notre Dame (can't stand them) and Texas A&M (who tried to buy their team, and easily the biggest abuser of the new money rules), lose to Marshall and App St. Great to see it.

Yeah If the reports are true and he turned down than 6 yr offer with like 130+M guaranteed he's insane. That was more than Russ got guaranteed.

His play style, like you said, is highly risky. He's one bad injury from never seeing an offer like that again. Can't teach stupid. Could have been set for life with that one.
