Imagine I’m not a broncos fan or the nfl. If you’re expecting a Peyton resurgence you’re gonna be sorely disappointed. Bookmark this post
I don’t think anyone is expecting a “Peyton Resurgence.” We’re just expecting a two-minute not to automatically end with an interception.

I’m not looking for a Super Bowl contender overnight, just not the same pathetic team I’ve had to witness the last 5 or so seasons.

I’m not convinced Russ is going to be great but he was by far the best available option this offseason.
Yeah this is where I'm at. At least I can get excited about watching the games again.

I'm calling it right now, Broncos will be bad this season.

I know it's preseason but I just do think they are good overall football team.

Wilson will help, but I think the defense is mediocre, one good corner, one safety, and a couple decent pass rushers doesn't make a defense. The offense is ok but overrated. Jeudy will bust, almost guarantee it. Losing Patrick hurt a lot. The o-line is very average. RBs we'll see, having a so so o-line hurts.

This talk off playoffs, is a pipe dream IMO. With KC, Cinny, Buffalo as locks and Baltimore, Chargers, Tennessee all good. There is not much room for error.

I have my concerns about the Broncos also, particularly down the middle of the field (OL, TE, DL, LB). I like their backfields on both sides of the ball, and WR looks pretty good, as long as Jeudy performs.

Wilson will probably win a couple of games on his own - wins that they wouldn't have had last season. But this still seems like a .500 team, maybe just a bit north of that. Tough division also.

But even with all of that, it simply has GOT to be a better season A) watching Wilson instead of the chumps they've had at QB in recent seasons, and B) having a coach who knows how to call plays, when to call a timeout, etc.

Yeah I don’t see why it’s weird to expect improvement this year. I mean they certainly aren’t a SB contender, but they should be winning at least 9 or 10 games this year.

I don’t expect the Broncos to be great this year but it Is super refreshing to not be fed the line that our defense is gonna stop people and that’s how we are going to win games this year. I’m so damn tired of relying on Bradley Chubb and McManus to somehow manufacture us 23 points in a game (No disrespect to McManus. He’s GOAT but we need all three phases of the game which included an offense). I’m kinda done with Chubb - hope he’s not on this team in 2-3 years. He‘s nothing without Von on the other side, and even then the guy is made of glass.

To have finally bucked up and gotten Wilson and then turn around and still complain about the club is baffling to me. What else could they have done in so short of time? To reiterate what others have said, we're not a SB contender but at least they're trending in the right direction and growth and a clear vision is all I care to see this year.

I'm optimistic about the Broncos every year so my opinion is, well, meaningless. But I see a lot of untapped talent on the offense, a still strong defense, and a new coach that is bringing positive energy instead of just being a hard-ass. The strength of the division is a huge hurdle, but at least I might actually enjoy watching Broncos' football this year instead of not switching off Redzone.

Oddly enough, I think I'm most excited about seeing how Josey Jewell plays this season. Before his injury, that kid was on top of everything. He was reading the plays incredibly well.

Russ may not be a GOAT like Peyton, but he's still a future Hall of Famer on the tail end of his prime. It's insane how down everyone seems to be on him.

Some weird things in all of this…. If the story of this is true and there is DNA evidence from Araiza, this is an open and shut case for statutory rape in California (only Romeo and Juliet exemptions for under 18 age of consent in California). You’d think if that evidence existed, this would have been criminal shortly after it happened. By the accuser’s story, there should be a rape kit (says she went to the police). So, assuming that is true… this gets very weird with corruption/incompetence or there isn’t DNA evidence for Araiza (doesn’t say he didn’t, just not evidence). If that story is false, that adds fire to Ariaza’s lawyer saying this is a shakedown and it gets super ugly. The lawyers both look like amateurs who are terrible at their jobs. Then add to it the weird std call. Just a very weird situation. Am surprised Bills were willing to deal with this given the Watson fallout.

It does? I’m honestly asking, I know absolutely nothing about him.
the article states that this story was pretty well known around the campus and NFL teams wouldn’t say if they knew already or not but the article kinda makes it out to be public knowledge if you were even halfway plugged into that campus. It would explain his drop in the draft. He wasn’t even the first punter taken which was surprising. My gut tells me teams knew about this and didn’t want to deal with it. The Bills bit though.

Thank you. I just read about the STD thing, and apparently THAT part is true. WTF...

I mean his first however many games prior to his injury were pretty normal level Russ. It’s clear he came back early from his injury and explains why he played like shit to end the year. Plus the Seahawks made dogshit outside Russ, Metcalf and Lockett.

That is really weird… if detectives have any evidence, why are they trying to get a confession in that manner? If they don’t have evidence, that is a very difficult way to get a confession that holds up in court… grasping at straws almost especially since it’ll bring medical records into the court. And the call would likely be inadmissible in court anyway.

Something definitely happened here… but this whole thing is incredibly weird and been handled in incredibly odd ways. The accusers attorney might get his bar stripped with his actions, yet he’s likely onto something.

Oh man… get up 28-17 after two quick touchdowns and Nebraska onside kicks the ball. Leads to a quick Northwestern touchdown. Frost is a terrible coach

Yes. He is.

Apparently the buyout drops from $15 million to half of that after the Purdue game, bet that’s when ol’ Trev swings the axe.
Yeah part of the renegotiated contract… gonna guess a bit later, but it is certainly happening.

What kills me the most about Frost is how he is completely willing to throw others under the bus all the time… today it was Whipple. The guy he just hired

Can’t get anywhere without accountability and he has none
