I don't think the situation is COMPLETELY hopeless...though it's pretty sad.

Monfort (and I usually just refer to Dick Monfort, Charles effectively drank himself into a useless figurehead role, I don't think he plays any part in the team's operations any longer) finally listened and fired Bridich after the fans didn't relent following the Arenado trade. We'll see if continued apathy toward the product finally forces his hand, but it ain't like MLB is otherwise a watchable product. Manfred is going out of his way to ruin the game.
Owners love that you believe this. Commissioners just implement the owners agenda. They pay commissioners big money to take the blame. Look at how rich Bettman has gotten from this. He loves those endless boos and thinks I have got 9 figure net worth thanks to you knuckleheads.

Really dude? You think I don't know who he works for? Just because he isn't the archvillain doesn't mean he isn't a villain at all.

Someone will have to explain soccer fandom to me someday. Like, I follow some teams on social media just to get a feel, like a couple K-League teams and Heart of Midlothian, and I'm astounded at how deep the fandom runs. Like, a random regular season highlight goal is one thing, but to celebrate something done in a friendly? And we're talkin' like, decades ago. Do fans really care about exhibition matches THAT much? I love hockey like it's my child, but I couldn't ever bring myself to feel involved about a stupid preseason game.

Yep unfortunately this is the truth.

They will be the laughing stock of the league until the Monforts are no longer involved which will likely be quite some time.

The only way to attempt to get them out is for them to consistently lose money.

I for one refuse to give them a cent. And haven't for at least 3 seasons now. But one person makes no difference. Couldn't even really tell you more than maybe 2 to 3 guys on the roster any more.

same here - I haven’t been to a game in about 10 years and even though I’d love to take my 4 year old son, I’ll probably take him to a high school or minors game instead.

My wife and I were in Denver for 3 or 4 days a couple of years ago and on a whim I snagged us some last minute really cheap seats right behind the third base dugout. She'd never been to a professional game of any sort before and as it turned out it happened to be Star Wars night, which was cool.

Seemed like maybe 1/5 of the crowd was there for the game. The rest were just slamming really overpriced beers at a stunningly alarming rate. *LOL* That massive party deck gets well used doesn't it.

That is all Rockies baseball is. I'm sure they have their legitimate fans, but most are there to drink in the sun with friends. Beers aren't cheap but the tickets are.

We used to go to 15-20 games per year. However, for the same reasons that others have expressed here, our baseline is now zero.

We did go on June 30th this year (our first visit to Coors Field in 4 years) vs Arizona, due to my g/f really, really wanting to see the fireworks.

Until she wanted to leave in the 6th inning due to the obnoxious drunks next to and behind us. We won't be back any time soon.

Those over priced beers do bring in revenue but they also make others want to stay away.

Went a few years back pre-COVID with my father on Father's Day and we got seats very close to the party deck. We were definitely the only sober ones in our section and the only ones actually paying attention to the game. People were constantly milling in and out of their seats to get more drinks and the woman in front of us could barely talk. All in all it wasn't a horrid experience, but I'm not dying to get back.

Thank God this POS is finally out of the Broncos organization. I have no idea if the new Walmart overlords will be good to us, but that asshole getting the boot was definitely a very good first step.

Anyone dropping $4.65 BILLION on an NFL team wants to recoup their investment. No better way to do that than to win games, especially one next February. If nothing else the Walton family knows how to make bank.

Will be happy once Ellis is out the door, should be happening soon. Too bad this will end with him walking away with a boatload of cash, but whatever, it ain't my money.

And hey, Lewis Hamilton and George Lucas's wife are on board, so...I'm good with that.

Anyway, I also hope this new ownership group takes a look at the current uniform set. Despite the fact they've won three Super Bowls wearing them, I truly think they're one of the worst in football. Just bring back the Orange Crush uniforms, royal blue helmet and all.
