honestly they are idiots for not drafting Ariza. In our altitude he would have been a game changing weapon even if he wasn’t consistent as most punters.

I'm calling it right now, Broncos will be bad this season.

I know it's preseason but I just do think they are good overall football team.

Wilson will help, but I think the defense is mediocre, one good corner, one safety, and a couple decent pass rushers doesn't make a defense. The offense is ok but overrated. Jeudy will bust, almost guarantee it. Losing Patrick hurt a lot. The o-line is very average. RBs we'll see, having a so so o-line hurts.

This talk off playoffs, is a pipe dream IMO. With KC, Cinny, Buffalo as locks and Baltimore, Chargers, Tennessee all good. There is not much room for error.

it’s gonna mathematically be so tough for them to make it. I’m guessing a 3rd place finish in the conference. I think the chargers take 1st place though.

The Broncos are coming off bad season and are trying to learn a new system with a new staff.

I think it's a very risky move by a first time coach. One that could hurt his chances of sticking around for a bit.

Or maybe he is a genius and this means nothing and he'll get us back to playing good football.

Tough to say But if Hackett doesn't do well with Wilson, I would expect a very short leash with new owners.

I love how they tied things in and seemed to pay homage to the original series. I think it will be well written and well executed and seemed to have all the characteristics that made the original so great, ie. great dialogue, character development, action, intensity etc.

After how disappointed I was in the last 2.5 seasons of Game of Thrones, I'm not going to fall into that trap again. That rushed pile of garbage left me forever jaded. Everytime I start watching a new show I enjoy even a little I think to myself "Oh boy, I sure hope they don't Game of Thrones this". I'll wait for this new series to finish before I decide to give it try or not.

I also suspect that it'll be cancelled very quickly. Discover is axing things left and right over at HBO/Max and I suspect unless this show draws in a ridiculous number of views, it'll be on the chopping block. That show's budget can't be cheap.

I'm more optimistic than I have been in past seasons, but that doesn't mean I'm optimistic overall. There's been so much damage done the past few years that I don't think it gets turned around overnight. HOPEFULLY a step in the right direction at least. All Hackett has to be this year is not grossly incompetent like his two predecessors. Beyond THAT, we'll see. My one big fear is that the Broncos will lose some of the little progress they actually made under Fangio (O-line under Munchak, defense). So far I'm really disappointed at the blocking scheme. I know it's preseason but the running game should not be this bad. Wilson should be a huge factor for the positive but he ain't no Mahomes/Brady/Allen, he's not one of these super-elite franchise QBs who can change the tide of the team's fortunes almost singlehandedly.

On a side note, I read that Athletic article on Urban Myth's ridiculously short but abhorrently disastrous stint in Jacksonville and holy shit it was even worse than I feared. Nothing surprising there but he really did lose everyone, coaches, players, staff, in record time, and did almost no work himself. As bad as the Broncos have been, at least they didn't go THERE.

For some inexplicable reason, Fox couldn't wait to bring him back into the broadcast booth even though there can't be a soul out there who really wants to listen/see him again.
