Air Force debuts a new logo and...yikes, I think it's terrible. Also trying to do WAY too much with the chapel structure on the wingtip, the lightning bolts in the feathers, and the four-pointed star in the center.

Wasn't a huge fan of J. Green, when he was on his game he was fun to watch though.

Seriously hard to believe Kansas City gets World Cup games over Denver. I mean were these people paying attention when going out to Arrowhead? Yeah the world wants to see games in old stadiums in places with zero transit and nothing to do before games other than tailgate. Not to mention KC's airport sucks ass, good luck getting a seat on a flight in there during the tournament without paying an arm and a leg FIFA.

Leave it to FIFA to make the most insane decisions ever. Well insane until 2 years later you find out they were bribed.

On the upside: no soccer hooligans in town.

I think you’re selling KC a little short, bro. It’s a great city. Admittedly Arrowhead is not exactly close to the Power & Light District, but there should be plenty to do nearby.

And I’ve had WAY more issues in DIA than I’ve ever had going through KCI, and I actually like DIA. You want a shitty airport, try Houston.

I mean it’s FIFA? Bribery is one of the least surprising things ever in regards to them.

This is a global tournament and the idea was to put teams in different stadiums and areas where they could draw domestic and international tourists to. Not saying Denver is the greatest city, but in comparison to KC it's a bigger city with more to draw visitors in. Not to mention summer weather comparisons aren't even fair, have fun playing in that potential oven. As for the airport, of course you have few problems going through KCI, its a small airport with about 1/8 the passenger traffic. KC's international routes are basically Cancun and maybe Canada. The teams can fly in on their private charters, but what about the fans? Many probably are going to connect in Denver to get there.

But it was all a FIFA decision and we know what makes FIFA tick.

I am pretty sure that FIFA can't even find Colorado on the map.

They can find it. It's the place that wouldn't repeal sales tax on tickets apparently. Seriously that's what makes you pick a city?

The handlebar-mustachioed Jake Shapiro puts the Nuggets on blast for their actions so far this offseason.

Based on what I'm reading it feels like a good draft. That said, they gotta do more this offseason than hoping/praying that MPJ and Murray will be good to go in the fall.

hated the draft......I think they could have gotten the Braun kid at 30 and the UCLA kid they did get at 30 couldn't play up to the college level. Lots of head scratching for me. I think Braun will be good if he really does develop into a 3 and D player like some people are hoping. The Nuggets desperately need that. I would have preferred them to have traded Barton plus one of their picks though to get someone decent in here.

Sorry - definitely negative Nancy on the new GM thus far....I'd give their draft a C+ / B-

He can gaurd Gaurds, something the Nuggs couldn't do last year. He's probably not as good of scorer as Barton but much more consistent.
I don’t watch much Nugs, but I’d assume they don’t need the scoring in that position as much as the defense. From what I’ve seen at least.

Wow. Monte and Thrill on their way out.
Fantastic trade. Barton had value only when other players were hurt or resting. KCP is exactly what they needed, pure 3 and D. Monte is due a big raise down the road and the Nuggets weren't going to pay it so as long as the starters stay healthy this was a great sell high move. If the starters are not healthy well it doesn't really matter, they aren't going to do well in the playoffs anyways.

Yeah if Murray and MPJ are healthy and able to play all year then we need a defensive gaurd to compliment them. But if those guys go down again the Nuggs will be in a worse spot that last year.
