agree with ya

this feels a lot like the class of 2017 where the Broncos tried to get cute with a bunch of niche role players and they all pretty much ended up flopping....

the 2nd rounder this year is a pure pass rushing specialist....the TE pretty much is only a pass catching threat......the WR being pretty much only drafted to return kicks/punts....and the CB already probably pegged into being just a slot CB.

Not impressed really at all. I guess they picked up a 3rd rounder for next year? I didn't watch the draft, but if that's the case....that might have been the only great thing Paton did all day.
There aren't many holes on the roster thankfully so the strategy changed. Little chance anyone picked as an OT in the late slots could have won a job this year. They signed plenty of bodies for the role and since none look so great of course it feels like a weakness but the draft wasn't going to solve it. I think they also see the change in blocking scheme being an issue but they guys they did draft and signed fit the scheme better. Probably needs a year of adjustment.

Still they got a handful of probably usable players that may never be all pros, but if half are NFL depth and 1 or 2 are starters long term it's a great draft. The Wilson trade not only got them a QB, it also saved them some theoretical slot money in line with what a 1st round pick would bring.

agree to disagree I guess....What happened in 2017 was the same scenario - management was overconfident and thought we didn't have a lot of holes so they drafted niche guys for roster spots 35-50. My issue is that when these guys fail to fill those specific roles, the player is absolutely worthless. And none of them really ever have a realistic shot of ever contributing as a starter.

Take for example this FCS WR they drafted. He clearly doesn't have the skills or the physical attributes to be a pro WR and they have admitted they drafted him to be a PR/KR specialist. Hell - the kid even admitted in interviews that he had no expectation at all of actually being drafted.....If he doesn't cut it, he's out of the NFL. Same goes for the slot CB they drafted - my point is that they are taking guys for specialized roles instead of taking guys that could play 2-3 different roles or could (gasp) overachieve into being a starter. I'd rather they had selected an OT who may or may not work out. If he doesn't, then you slide him in to play G (likewise drafting a G who may need to move to C, or a CB that may have to play S). I just don't see a lot of value in drafting undersized guys for roles like KR/PR when you can very often find those dudes in other places besides the middle rounds of an NFL draft. It's very weird to draft guys specially for special teams and basically pigeon hole those players into only being able to fill those roles.

I think this is probably one of the worst drafts they've had in the past 4-5 years. Just not creative at all and not a lot of players that could be developed into starters 2-3 years down the line.

Facts are facts. They had the 3rd lowest draft capital. First pick basically started the 3rd round. Only so much that could be done.

And of course teams have unique opinions on players picked day 3. There will always be debate on those picks because it's the zone where they have a high bust rate and their success often is a function of opportunity and coaching more than talent.

Why does ESPN hate Joker so much? I heard one panel wanted a recount?
It’s funny how majority of NBA players don’t even give him much credit in public/press.

If I remember right, other than Luka, literally no one congratulated him on his MVP last year other than his teammates.

Same thing with this year, other than Gobert I don’t remember any other player around the league saying Jokic is the MVP.

But we all know Jokic don’t give a shit

They’re just pissed because he plays for Denver and the nuggets have never been taken seriously in this league
I think that is just the characteristics of the NBA. It's a league built on pride and some arrogance which is why people love watching star players play against each other. I mentioned this in the past, but there are at least 12-ish teams in the league that are absolutely useless and there are to get beat upon by the Lakers', Celtics', Spurs', Knicks', Bulls', and Warriors' of the league. Nuggets could be classified in the same category of the Hornets, Pelicans, Hawks, Grizzlies, Pistons, Timberwolves, Kings, and whoever else is known as irrelevant.

Good job, jackass.

How hard is it for these idiot millionaires to stay out of trouble? Apparently it's impossible.
When you don’t hold entitled people to the same degree of accountability this is what happens.

Wonder what he did?

Speculation that he broke her phone. Law says he has to be arrested and can't be given bond until seeing a judge. Who lot of jumping to conclusions by the public and probably be nothing more than a fine

Even more ridiculous, he locked her wallet and baby formula in his car because she took his phone. Good lord much ado about nothing, the media and a lot of fans just want to crucify people for no reason.
