I can definitely get on board with that, but I am also wondering who they're going to get for the DC, or if it's going to be the Defensive Backs coach from Cincy they interviewed (the word is he's very popular in NFL Coaching circles).

And of course, on top of all of that, will Peyton come back for at least 1 more year? If he doesn't then Elway, Kubiak, et al have their work cut out for them, because I just feel that Osweiler has too many question marks.

DC is tough. Gotta think Vance Joseph is the leader in the clubhouse.

I think Peyton is coming back.

How can you forget???????

Not so much from our perspective but he's like the most well-known OC in the league.

Well, I've stated that I'm not really as big of a Broncos fan as most people who post in this thread are. I've never hated them, always had a soft spot for them because of Elway, Sharpe, Davis, etc.

Always been a big Peyton fan though. So to be entirely honest I because more emotionally invested in the Broncos when he came to town....also over the years of being an Avs fan I've seen my football allegiance shift to the Broncos just because I've been to their stadium in person (for a concert) and with Denver being my hockey town and all.

But on McDaniels...I find him entirely forgettable. He left here, which was good, he needed to go, and went to St. Louis and then back to New England.

But when I think of New England I always think of Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick first (and lately Matt Patricia, but that's because of his gnarly beard). Bill definitely has his detractors (that's an understatement), but he's a hell of a game planner.

But again--I just find McDaniels completely and totally forgettable.

Alright. Hopefully Kubiak gets Alex Gibbs back in here, and we get back to the zone blocking run game.

Brock is actually a really good fit for Kubiak's offense. Very Mobile and strong arm to throw back across the field. Brock is actually probably a better fit for this system than Peyton is, but they'll adjust for Manning's talents.

If Indy wins, that's about as close to an automatic Seattle win as it gets. I'd rather take the lesser of two evils, and to me that's NE winning tonight and beating Seattle in the SB.

I do not want to see Sherman's idiotic self hoisting that trophy again. I do not want to see Pete Carroll's smug-ass face holding that trophy again.

I want to see Seattle get their ***** kicked and be humbled.

 Preach on Brotha. I agree 100% - **** Seattle. They remind me of Miami U in the 80's. Go Patriots.

Peyton is coming back. He's just using his indecision as leverage to get what he wants.

What do you mean by this? I can't think Peyton really wants anything but another Superbowl.

Plus Elway told him to take a couple of weeks and think about it.

Control. I don't think he's ready to give it up either but he's going to go out the way he wants.

The couple weeks is all spin. There is nothing to think about. Maybe to see if the situation is satisfactory to him not of he wants to continue his career.

I edited my original post a little bit, but didn't Elway tell him to "take a couple of weeks and think about it"?

Edit: I agree that he will be coming back, but I guess I don't see that he is playing with the media or the fans or even Elway. The guy was injured and Elway told him to take a couple of weeks, so that is what he is doing. I can't believe for the life of me that he won't come back, he only has one more shot at it, really.

It's hard to say how much Peyton has in the tank, but I take him next year over the alternative every day of the week.

Peyton wants the records at least. Unless he just completely feels physically incapable he wants to come back. But he also hates change and is OCD about control so this upheaval is a concern for him, Peyton isn't going to be uncomfortable and set up for failure in his last hurrah. I believe he was on board with Fox going but his "indecision" leaves him an out if he's not pleased with the situation. Maybe he knew Gase wasn't going to be HC but losing him as OC too might not be to his liking. Step one in Kubiak's tenure is going to be making Peyton comfortable with the situation. He'll come back, he wants the records and he doesn't want to go out like he did. But he sure as hell is going to use his "pondering" to his advantage to get whatever it is that he wants.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. If I'm in his shoes, though, I could give a rats ass about the records...... I just just would want to win one more Superbowl.

Probably, I'm sure that's the ultimate motivation for everyone but really how likely is it? New coach, can't pay everyone. Maybe he thinks he can do it, he should. But it's not like the Broncos have a real great guarantee it will happen again.

True........ there's always time for the insurance commercials afterwards, though.

I'm starting to dislike Peyton. Everything from his declining play to his choking to his complete lack of mobility to his need for total control of the offense to his stupid commercials.

I'm sure he's a nice guy but he's really rubbing me the wrong way.

1. Declining play? Oh, you must be talking about after he injury this season...surely you're not speaking about his record setting 2013, or the first half of this season where he was equally impressive.

2. Go look up the last time he had a QBR below 70.0 in a playoff game, because unless I'm mistaken, it's been a while. He took a LOT of bad Indianapolis teams farther than they should have gone. The Indy team that got stomped tonight? Constructed very similarly to Peyton's Colts teams.

3. Never has been a mobile QB, and never will...not sure what your expectation is/was.

4. A lot of elite QB's will have a large say/role in the shaping of the offense that they'll be running on the field...Peyton's not special in this regard.

5. Eh... His commercials are hit or miss for me. For every one I like ("Orange Barrel Re-Route!") there's some I dislike (basically all of his Papa John's ones).

Remember Manning and his team wanted to go to Houston. It was their number 1 choice. So he saw a fit with Kubiak on some level. So as long as both men are willing to work at it, I don't see it being an issue.

Most interesting name I've seen for DC is Jim Schwartz. Dude did a helluva job in Buffalo last year.

This is the darkest of timelines for Broncos fans. Pats v. Hawks SB. Peyton's future in the balance, lots of people to sign.

And our only hope is Kubiak...?

:dunno:
