Elway probably has someone up his sleeve, I think Doug Marrone would be a great hire for Denver.

I honestly don't think he'll be bad in the future as a head coach in the NFL.

Does everyone repeat that line about each of the failures on Belicick's coaching tree after their first job just because Hoodie failed in Cleveland, because he has yet to produce a success.

John Fox declined HC interview with Jets, per NFL source. Hard to imagine turning down one HC chance unless there's real chance for another.

Well...I have a feeling he declined that interview because he wants nothing to do with the cesspool that is the New York Jets.

Never expected this man to coach in a national title game.

I enjoy watching the ESPN2 "Film room" more than Herbie/Fowler.

I would love Kubiak as a coach, but I would hate watching Manning play for him. Immobile QB behind a OL that would be going through transition (back to zone block scheme) would be seriously hard to watch.

Word's out tonight that Gase is getting a 2nd interview with the 49ers, so I've got to believe he's moving on past the Broncos.

I think they're going to clean house completely. I would do it if I was Elway. Re-signing DT at what he's going to command I think is crazy without an elite QB. I'd let all the top tier FA's go and find mid-level young guys at all positions if I was Johnny Boy.

edit - Kubiak or Quinn - will take either one. Might actually prefer Quinn

Quinn would be awesome (in theory/on paper)...he's done a HELL of a job with the Defense in Seattle.

But he's likely on a LOT of teams' wishlist, and there's no guarantee he considers himself ready to leave Seattle, and if he does, I legitimately wonder if he believes Denver is the spot for him.

So find a mid level QB and give them no one to throw too? You have to re-sign one of JT or DT, and it will/should be DT.

I think you have to keep the most young talent you can keep.

Wow, game was not close. Urban Meyer with one heck of a coaching job for OSU.

I'm still keen on Quinn for the Donks. I'd like to think he'd bring some of Petey's forward-thinking (and, admittedly, sometimes obnoxious) mojo with him to Dove Valley. And that defense is just nasty.

One real issue, which I pointed out before the seaon, is that Elway still needs to up his game in the draft. I trust the man, but we have to get more out of our draft picks.

I think if Manning stays, they resign DThomas, VGreen, Montgomery. Every other UFA is going to leave.

If they don't keep Manning, they resign DThomas, VGreen, Montgomery, and either Knighton or JThomas (not both). And then they sign a FA QB.
