That was a fast confirmation. So long Giolito.

On the surface, without knowing much, the value looks good to me. Getting a top 100 prospect for a 2 month rental sounds good. But I need to learn more about these guys.

Ugh….once again, why does it matter how good these prospects are that we’re adding??

Why should we believe they’re the right type of players? Why should we trust the thought process of Hahn and co.? Why should we have any faith at all that we’ll be able to properly develop these young talents???

We needed to clean house and bring in new minds/decision makers to be the ones to build the roster and develop the prospects.

Without doing that it makes the entire thing pointless…

And even if we added the 2 best prospects in all baseball….it’s not like the white Sox are currently capable of getting the most out of them. All we’re doing is further digging a hole. It’s so infuriating.

Angels are the most incompetent organization in all sports, two of their top three prospects probably aren’t worth half a damn.

Yeah, their farm system’s apparently bottom five.

One bummer in all this is - you used to be able to say, hey well at least we'll geta stud draft pick. But that will just be another Vaughn or Madrigal. I think they draft better in the teens than the top 5.


BTW has anyone seen KBS? It seems like he fell off the grid here and on Soxtalk. Hope he is ok.

It's actually a very good trade for the White Sox.

BUT, I do not trust their evaluators in the system to develop these guys at all.

Yeah I like the trade as well. I didn't think they would get a top 100 guy for 2 months of Gio.
If Hahn does one thing well, it's trades of MLB talent for prospects. That's about the only thing he does well unfortunately.

Cubs better be sellers. This idea that they have a playoff run in them is silliness. Should be able to get a good haul for Bellinger and Stroman.
 
I am not a fan of trade

Dodgers have better prospects then the guys we got back.

Quero is so far off that who knows if he will amount to anything while Bush is looking terrible this year, so his stock has taken hit.

Gio for this would have been better then packing Lopez in deal as well

Feels like Sox squandered what was one of the best trade chips around league if not best trade chip at deadline.

You always say things like this... and I don't quite understand why you don't get it. You can't make a deal with a team that doesn't want to make a deal... if the Sox could have gotten better players from another team, they would have...
