And more runners LOB by Moncada and Pollock fails...again and again.. and again...this is getting embarrassing ...

Vaughn is not a RF

back-to-back innings with him misjudging ball

The lack of a RF continues to be issue

Too many DH's/1B on this roster

Offseason that needs to change and a couple guys need to go

And Rangers take lead and threatening more after taking advantage of Vaughn mistake

f***ing embarrassing

Rangers lay down bunt and Cueto gets ball, but Harrison slow ass doesn't get to 1st base so now loaded bases for Rangers

There it is. All 9 starters in a lineup for the 1st time this season.

And they still can’t score/hit. Pathetic.

Grandal was such a waste of $$$

We spend $$ on the dumbest things I swear. And the important stuff we’re like naaaaah.

Vaughn ignores Pollock on shallow fly ball and near collision

Vaughn throws home late because of weaker arm and bad angle

Vaughn killing Sox tonight playing RF

What killed the Sox tonight was the offense. Inexcusable lack of productivity with that kind of talent on paper. 3 runs shouldn’t have been enough to beat us.

Must be nice to go through life not caring about anything.
Just have to separate real life from things like being a fan. You can control things is life (to a point) but you have zero control over how your team does.

I get much angrier when I have a bad golf round, but I also know it is just a game (that I dump too much money and time into).

At the end of the day, it is about having fun, just like watching and cheering for a team that you support. Just have to remember this and your life will be much more pleasant.

Oh stop. Go look at his numbers last year and call him a waste.

I still think he's playing hurt, it's clear from his running.
Again, he barely plays half a season and this year he's trash. Thats not a contract you'd want them to sign knowing what we know now.

You guys think Hahn should have a crystal ball or something, lol.

He had played 140 and 153 the years before he arrived.

But he’s a catcher that can’t catch…

And it’s not like his offense is so overwhelmingly incredible that it makes up for it.

Why not just keep a lower cost guy that can play the position(like just about every other team in the league), and throw that kind of $ at a legit OF? Or a 2B? Or a starting pitcher?

Again, he barely plays half a season and this year he's trash. Thats not a contract you'd want them to sign knowing what we know now.

And he wasn’t spectacular in 2020 either. One good season of offense over the 3 years he’s been here.

SOX desperately needed a catcher
Signed the best available
3 years later "ugh, why did they sign him!?"

You guys wanted to go into the contention window with Zack Collins, FFS?
Im not complaining about them signing him when they did, my point is just that he's awful right now and been a dud overall for the sox. But yea, signing a poor defensive catcher whos 30 to the highest contract in team history is just kind of depressing to think about.

Imagine complaining about someone complaining about Grandal. He’s been HORRIBLE. Again one good season in out of how many? 3? And you’re defending him? He’s been god awful here in 2022.

The point is that they’ll spend $$ on that(a catcher that can’t catch)….but not the things that really matter in terms of putting us over the top. Like a true star at the plate/in the field or an elite front line starter/Ace.

Also, saying we “desperately” needed a catcher isn’t true. McCaan was doing fine. It’s also a position you can fill without really needing an elite presence at the plate(look at the majority of catchers). We desperately needed a Manny Machado or a Bryce Harper.

Who's the most disappointing sox player of the past 20 years? Dunn, Moncada, or Beckham?
I'm not sure you can put Moncada in that category. 2 seasons worth 4+ fWAR is actually not terrible. He was so good defensively in 2020 that even if his offense would have stayed the same he'd have been worth 3 fWAR over 162.

So over his last 3 seasons before this one, he averaged 4 fWAR so it remains to be seen if he's lost it or is a good player having a terrible season. 2023 will say a lot.

Everyone gets on Moncada's case because he's not Jose Ramirez. To each their own, but let's not pretend he was never good.

There's a lot of pretending that Giolito and Moncada were never good, and that's not right.

Moncada has that look to him where he looks like his effort is lacking. Even Steve Stone questioned his work ethic in a tweet previously. It might not even be fair, but that's how it appears, and then when you add in poor performance, it leaves people wanting more.

We'll see how the season ends. If he doesn't have a resurgence in these last 2 months, then the Sox probably should consider any third basemen potentially available, and if need be, move Moncada to 2B or RF. He is losing his priority status.

Oh and nice win last night!

It certainly was not a " nice win" last nightvforctgecSox..

Anderson=o fer at the plate...Vaughan,Abreu and of course Moncada also stunk at the plate...
Abd Robert looks lethargic and hardly a threat since his mysterious illness tfat caused dizziness and now tgat hebis back he just does not look right.

When 5 of your top six guys you count on for offense govstinky in the same gane,it is notca "nice win" at all...concerning win(from the batting brigade...Again!

Eloy seens the only big threat tobthebooos...A 1 hit contribution by Grandal is appreciated.. but he is not even in the top 6 offense threats anyomee as he has had troubkexalk season even hitting his weight....ratferxa surprise when he does anything.

Harrison hittingv bit better in 2nd half so far...so that is encouraging.. but how much can he raise his batgibgvaverage...Maybe he will make it to .259 or .269 by year end...but he is not a .280+ 2B...

Texas has stymied big offense from the Sox despite Onevifvtheirx2 best starters out with injury andvthevotgervone not scheduled to face tge zsox...A rookie making his first start stymiedcthecSox in the first game ofvthe series...Sox pitching with Cesse Nd the bullpen held Texas to 1 run to allow a ckisexwin in the game kat night.

It seems clear tge Sox "star" batters are not goingvtonoerform for TLR..Tgerexsemscto beca huge disconnect...culture clash ...Tgey perform best having fun...TKR clamps down the fun to do things his way and so whatever the reasons this is Not working at all.
