Levine was on ITC this morning saying that they're going to go for it now but there are big changes coming this winter.

I'm not sure Bruce Levine has much of a scoop on White Sox doings. But if he did, hopefully this would start with front office and coaching changes, and then move on to the players from there. I no longer trust Kenny Williams or Rick Hahn with roster decisions.

Both shouldn't have been allowed to lead this rebuild. The failure of 2013-16 should have been enough to cost them their jobs.

I'll be honest, I liked Rick Hahn for most of this rebuild. In hindsight I was probably wrong.

He got a free pass for wasting Chris Sale's prime. That's a fireable offense in and of itself.
I liked the trades he made when he blew it up. The fact remains that he shouldn't have been allowed to lead that.

It takes more than one great player to make a good team. The free pass probably better points at the Shields trade. As bad as some of the moves (or lack of moves) have been the last few years, he can never top that one.
And on that note, the Sox win and gain a rare home series victory for the weekend! Depending on what the Twinkies do, they will be 2 or 3 games out of 1st going in to tomorrow.

Cease is incredible.
But the Sox as a team still aren’t fooling me with this recent 2 game win “streak”. They have a long way to go to get back into the serious contender discussion. I just don’t trust them, at least not yet. Again though….Cease is having a remarkable season individually, and he would be the Cy Young front runner if his team was doing better.

Cease is not even in the same league as McClanahan. Not even close.
Even arguable that Verlander is having a slightly better season than Cease.

McClanahan is probably best overall pitcher in baseball this year, but Cease is right behind him with a couple of other guys

I never said Cease isn’t having a great season. He absolutely is.
I would not consider him the front runner for the Cy Young award at this point. I’d put him third.

Fair enough, but a close third. His walks earlier in the season are what set him behind Verlander and McClanahan probably.

That gives me a slight tinge of concern. I really hope Rick Hahn doesn't 'Stan Bowman' the Sox here in the next day or two.
What I mean by that is, feel like his job is in jeopardy, and throw the future in the trash to selfishly try to prop up the current team and save his job. AKA, don't be trading Montgomery or Colas for a bandaid starter or reliever. Or Ian Happ.
The Hawks are going to be paying for that Seth Jones trade for a long time. Let's hope Rick Hahn doesn't go that that same path.

This mess is on Hahn and his woeful performance at building roster
It's amazing the unwillingness to hold GMs accountable in Chicago and constant looking for an excuse to not hold them accountable
