Paying huge money for a closer then let your setup man blow a 5-4 game in the 9th. TLR baseball boys!
 
TLR is awful no doubt but even with a competent manager, this team won't go far in the playoffs. They would win the division, but they ain't beating the Yankees, Astros, etc. Just way too many weaknesses on the team currently as constructed.

We need to stop blaming TLR for EVERYTHING. At some point these talented players need to perform. Hendriks has been awful lately, so he goes with Graveman who is supposed to be a legit/all-star caliber reliever and he walks the first 3 batters and then a base hit? The manager isn’t to blame that’s just poor pitching. The players need to be better.

Kelly is a perfect example. Missed like 2 months, comes back, stinks, injured, comes back, stinks, injured again.

Serious question:

Can the White Sox still realistically win a World Series here in 2022? Is there even any point at all in giving away assets to try and add at the TDL? It’s starting to feel like we’re too far gone, or to put it more specifically we have too many flaws to correct.

Hahn is liable to trade away montgomery for some bp arm. Organization stinks from the top down. Built up a solid team then pissed down their leg the past 2 years with all their decisions. Call me kbs 2.0 if you want, but this is pathetic.

No you’re probably right, sad but true.

I know it seems unfair to pick on guys that are injured but the momentum we were slowly building, especially offensively, was killed when Robert got light headedness and needed another stint on the IL. It set us back YET AGAIN. We were just getting Eloy and Grandal back and about to be at full strength.

Again…the lack of availability this teams best players consistently display is astounding.

Man…it’s been all downhill since the Kimbrel trade. The day we made that trade many were picking us as favorites in the AL to reach the WS and our roster on paper backed that up.

What’s happened since then over the next 365 days or so is nothing short of a catastrophe. Epic failure by this organization. Heads need to roll for this.
 
I’m beginning to legitimately dislike this White Sox team. There’s very little to like. Not much in the way of fun/entertaining baseball. We don’t flash any leather or hit any home runs. The manager is AWFUL. We’re seriously such a lame team, it’s hard to watch. Unless you like quick, boring at bats that end in ground outs and slow/unathletic, inept fielding/base running. The organization is becoming harder and harder to support. Needs new ownership badly. A rebuild is likely required regardless, with Cease, Kopech, Robert, and Vaughn being the only players worth keeping/building around. Hahn probably gets fired at seasons end when we miss the playoffs and finish under .500.
 


Weird extension, but the Cubs should be able to get a lot for Givens and Robertson.
 
And Sox continue spoiling themselves at home...ANOTHER A's bomb out of tge yard ..and down2-0 to A's already in this game.

Forget about trading prospects for pitching help
..this season is over...Maybevtgeyvshpuld just do a fire sale for prospects...This team= bad...cannot stay healthy and those that are are underperforming...

This travesty of a season is over...

Play out tge string...do not make useless trades...it will not matter.. not winning this season..


Fire TLR at end if season..Fire Katz. Fire the hitting coach...Fire Hahn ..Sell-off every single Sox roster player..all of them...

Start over.
 
Remember a few weeks ago when KBS was called out and scolded by the usual suspects for daring to suggest that the window for this Sox team might already be closing? Of course those posters will never admit they were wrong or apologize, so it is what it is.

Truth is that he really isn’t all that far off with that suggestion. The TA/Abreu/Giolito era appears to be dwindling away. I’m seeing a team that looks like they could be sellers just as easily as buyers. I see only 3-4 players worth keeping/building around.

The window might very well be closing as this season winds down. Hahn could very well be gone at seasons end, and then there’s a farm system that will be in desperate need of restocking.

Congrats he might be right. Say the same thing over a million times and your bound to be right.

Idc if they have to sell low, moncada (and to a lesser extent) grandal need to be gone. They dont stay on the field and theyre trash when they play. Grandal might be the worst catcher in baseball and hes not hitting at all.
