Ruiz has always been terrible in high leverage situations. Of course La Russa brings him in in a high leverage situation and he shits himself.

Bases loaded after Vaughn double + Abreu and Grandal walks

And Pollack hit to 3B bounces off him and 2 runs come home

5-4 White SoX

TLR sticking with righty there when stats would have said that he should have put in lefty is exactly type of gut instinct manager decision sorely lacking in MLB today

Leave the guy hitting well in dont always need to reach for matchup

Foster with save as Harrison nabs liner

Sox pull out much needed W

They’ve had so many of these “this is it” moments/wins where you feel like it’s gonna be the turning point…and it never is. They just go right back to sucking. I’m not falling for it anymore. They need to win like 10 in a row or something meaningful and consistent before I take them seriously again.

Not sure why this would even qualify as a turning point. As said the best they can do is split the series IF they win today, and that's not good enough.

I reached that point last year, when it was obvious all they could do was beat the bad teams. Then they proved it by getting embarrassed on and off the field vs Hou. Now this year has been even worse and every mid-season article by anyone has them listed as most underachieving, most disappointing, etc. And they're not wrong.

TLR very lucky Pollock (who has been bad all season at the plate( finally cones through with that 2 run single in the bottom of thev8th to give the lead back to the Sox and that it held up i the top of the 9th for the win.

This backed outTLR for 2 no wheat decisions he made earlier that almost cost Sox tge game...

Lynn after sonexdhsastriusxstarts finds his firm afainandvus sailing in command after 6 scoreless inn's pitched...TKR tge genius that he is...tanks hom....Lynn who when on form could probably go a complete game or attract 8 innings..,is yanked byTLTand he brings it Ruiz and voila Cleveland scores 4 in top of 7th to take tge lead...Further he had yoked Eloy who was 2 forc3 in tge game and he put in thev0 forc6 intgexseroea Adam Engel for defensive purposes. .so natural when Engel 's turn to bat cones around with runners on base he fails miserably again at the plate...TURNS decisions back-fire again...Sure no guarantee Eliycwoukd have gotten a hit..but at least he offers more threat and less confidence to opposing pitchers than Mr. on for defensive purposes does...
TLR pkayong not to lose instead of to win..

He should have left both Lynn and Eliy in the game ...Lynne's feeling God about himself again and Eloy already was 2 firx3 in this game andmmminckudibga HR. And TLR outs in leavecem stranded Engel who he knew woukd be up to bat intgecremaibdervif tge game maybe with runs needed if his bulpenfaiked to hold tgex3-0 lead...which they did blow as wss certainly posdible.

TLR making bad bad managerial mistakes...lucky it did not cost hom.

But this is Shakey ..very shakey...

Sox will win squat with TLR managing..

He just got lucky..

This is f***ing hilarious. He got lucky, and there really wasn't a better option. Pollack was something like 1 for his last 25 coming into last night. Hitting well??? Lol. You're such a f***ing clown.

Vaughn sitting for Sheets. Pollack hitting 3rd. And of course, Leury takes Harrison's spot at the last minute. TLR is f***ing demented.

Almost 100 games into the season and leury is still getting consistent playing time despite being the worst player in baseball. Its comical that hes even on the big league roster at this point, the fact he still plays is just depressing.

Sox bullpen continues to be a disaster.

Katz really sucks at maximizing the talent he’s given. All that talent and such consistent poor performance. Where’s the pitching coach at? What’s he doing? Keuchel…Lynn….Giolito…Kopech…the bullpen….all falling off a cliff. We need better pitching.

The sox have to have one of the highest paid bp's in baseball. Just goes to show the poor allocation of resources by hahn. Hes liable to trade away any remaining assets the sox do have for more bp arms too.
