It’s not a difficult concept to grasp, it’s just really hard to take seriously. Look man, I don’t really even care what happened here but I’m just always puzzled when when people make an IMMEDIATE jump to conspiracy thinking at the slightest hint of impropriety.
Yeah, it would be a pretty big conspiracy. Probably take all of one phone call from Kroenke to the Mayor of Inglewood. So many people involved that someone is sure to spill the beans.

f*** that guy Luna. Why should I feel bad for a guy that was asking for it? The fact that he went down here alone just speaks volume of how stupid he is. He felt too comfortable talking all the shit in enemy territory.

Acting like adults? Is being a rude disrespectful fan in enemy territory acting like an adult? You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

It's sports. Not a gang.

Hate to break it to you but fighting has always been part of sports.

It just so happened that this guy Luna had a glass jaw and couldn’t take a punch. This wouldn’t be news if he didn’t end up in a coma
I guess this guy Luna is just lucky he didn't run into you, huh?

Why should you feel bad for someone who ended up in a coma? I don't know, it's part of being a decent human? But I guess he was wearing the wrong color. And like I said in my other post, he was 1/2 the moron duo that contributed to this, no one disputes that, but you seem to want to cheer on what happened to him and pass none of the blame on the other person because of the color shirt he was wearing. My guess is, had the SF fan won the fight and the Rams fan was in the coma that your attitude does a 180, which makes zero sense.

I have gone to plenty of games alone as a road fan, or with my current GF, ex-wife or daughter. I have been to Columbus and East Lansing for football games, Chicago for heated NHL playoff series including a Game 7, the south side of Chicago for baseball games, am I "stupid" for doing that? You think people shouldn't be allowed to cheer on their team on the road? You have never seen the Kings play in Anaheim?

Enemy territory? As someone else said, what is this a gang war? It's grown men playing a sport for our enjoyment, it's not a war or a battle it's a sporting event that means nothing in the big picture. Anyone fighting over it is a douche, but being a douche does not carry a sentence of ending up in a coma.

I remember being at Staples for Game 3 of the 2010 playoffs and seeing an idiot Kings fan push an idiot Canucks fan down the escalator right in front of the guys elementary school aged son because they apparently both share the same mindset that you do about it being some kind of war. If anyone knows how Staples is constructed that could have been the end of that guy, and why and for what? There is no place for any of this crap in sports and we shouldn't condone any of it. And the weirdest part about fans that act like you is the players involved in the game are all buddy buddy and have none of the hatred that some of the fans do.

Lol the guy got his ass beat in a one-on-one fight. A fight he started, so the guy who knocked him the f*** out was in self-defense. This wasn’t a Bryan Stow scene where two cowards continuwd beating a man while he was already down.

What are the rules when a guy wears an uninvolved jersey to a game? You know, someone who wears a Red Wings jersey to a Kings-Ducks game. Can he travel alone? Will he be asked to take off his colors? Would he have to prove his prowess in a one-on-one fight with a gatekeeper opposing fan?

In the bigger picture, is it ok to wear British Knights or Calvin Klein to a game if I were inclined?

I've got a lot of questions.

It comes with the territory. There’s room for feeling bad and there’s also room for seeing that karma got the best of him. In this case, it’s the latter. I wouldn’t side with the Rams fan if he was the one that started it especilly if he was the one that got knocked out. That’s why I would never behave like a clown on the road against rival teams. Nice try though, boy.

Again, you’re missing the point. To a lot of fans, this is more than just the sports that are being played on the field. You get emotionally attached to the team and fan culture. So it gets personal when someone is talking mad shit. Have you seen soccer fans in Europe? This is nothing. But I would also never act like a fool in rival’s territory win or lose. You can’t expect security to protect you 100% from fans that take it personal when you talk shit. Your “gang” comparisons are laughable and asinine. No one brought a gun and started shooting people. It’s easy for you to say that you would just walk away when you’re not the one taking the verbal abuse/bullying. I got news for you: not many people can just ignore trash talking. Good for you if you can control your emotions and anger especially when the emotions are obviously still high after a big rivalry game. That, or your parents never taught you how to stand up for yourself.

May I remind you that this was just one incident out of what, 75K people that attended the game? It was a one one one fight. Luna got his ass knocked out. He’ll live. The Rams fan was in self defense mode, if you haven’t forgotten.

Some of you dweebs actually think that I am condoning unprovoked violence towards rival fans just because of what jerseys they’re wearing.

Rams fan was in self-defense, morons!

You think I haven't had shit talked to me going to games in the venues I have? Haha, you've never been to Columbus or Chicago have you? My parents taught me to be smart, being smart is laughing at people talking crap over something as trivial as a sports team I root for, not getting into a fight where I could end up being severely hurt or severely hurting someone and ending up in prison. It is easy to walk away from people directing mean words at me because of the sports teams I follow because of where I grew up or went to school, I've done it on numerous occasions, if that makes me weak or "not standing up for myself" so be it. I have my health, wealth and freedom, something neither one of these clowns is likely to have because they decided to fight over teams full of athletes who couldn't give 2 shits about them.

There are these events all over the country with 75K+ every Saturday and Sunday, why do 99% of them result in people not ending up in the hospital?

Goooooooooooooooooooood for you that you can show such a good behavior after getting verbally abused. Newsflash: not everyone is an altar boy like you and that doesn’t make them evil if anger gets the best of them.

It ended up in the hospital because Luna got knocked the f*** out by one man. Do not act like it was an unfair fight. He didn’t get jumped. It was a regular fan fight that ended up with a one punch KO apparently. No weapons were involved. Again, you keep ignoring that it was self defense, allegedly.

I guess me and everyone else who attend sporting events as road fans are alter boys who take verbal abuse who don't stand up for themselves because we walk out of there without getting into fights like children.

Again, this is personal experience, these are always the same way, two clowns looking for trouble. There is massive shit talk at all these games yet 99.9999% of them don't result in people getting into fights and ending up at the hospital. I am not condoning this guy, he is a moron just like the guy who he got into the fight with, two clowns looking for trouble who found it. This is a terrible story and saying "he will live" as minimizing it is just stupid, as is typing "LMAO" upon hearing someone ended up in a coma. Being an idiot does not warrant someone suffering potential brain damage. But here we are, two lives potentially ruined fighting over a game.

Are you deaf, dude (figuratively speaking)? It was an act of self-defense. The Rams fan didn’t attack Luna because he was talking shit. Luna pushed him from behind and Rams fan retaliated and knocked his clown ass out.

Good for you, altar boy. But I hope you’re not the type of friend that would run away if one of your friends got jumped. “Just walk away and act like adults”

It was a small fight that ended up badly. The result is why it’s news, not why it happened. If it is true that it was self defense, then there is nothing clownish about the Rams fan retaliating. He got physically assaulted by that push. But of course Herby, if it was you, you would’ve just walked away amirite? Let me just tell you this right now. You’re having a very bad attempt at a Trump-style bothsideism. A sense of false balance when the latest reports are clearly saying that Luna was the one who started it and physically assaulted the Rams fan.

And yes, Luna will live. What are you arguing about?

My only question is how did Herby become a Kings fan living in the Midwest? Nice!!!

Funny how all those years going to hostile venues as a road fan and I have never been in that situation, I must be the luckiest person alive. It has nothing to do with never saying or doing things to escalate the situation, nope just pure luck. I should have talked back or tried to start a fight because some Ohio St. trailer park loser called me "scUM" or a Hawks fan who had a few to many told me "**** the Queens". I was a weak push over, I should have let those comments cause me to fight and potentially ruin my life out of pride and ego. I'm sure the Rams fan who punched him was just an innocent guy minding his own business and had no part in the conflict escalating to the point that it did. I'm sure at no point he could have just walked away.

Were you acting like a douche? Were you antagonizing the home fans? Were you still talking a lot of shit even after a loss? Were you pushing rival fans from behind?

Your comparisons to your personal experience are a weak attempt at trying to get your point across. Give it up. We all know you’re an altar boy who probably says freaking instead of f***ing even at home. Stop it before you convince everyone that you were bullied as a kid.

Hey, I’m just going with what’s being reported so far. You on the other hand just like to assume things. Whatever floats your boat, adult.

Haha, I am literally replying to your points. You know like the one about people not being expected to not do anything in response to verbal abuse, how "not many people can be expected to walk away from trash talk" when actually most people do just that in hostile venues. Or "fighting has always been a part of sports" when the vast majority of college and pro sporting events happen peacefully without people ending up in the coma. Or now the altar boy comments, pretending that the vast majority of people don't have the same views I do, if they didn't there would be more crap like this.

What do I know though, just a spoiled rich kid from South OC that is to afraid to get into a fight because someone insulted his favorite sports team.

Have a good night.

Imagine going to a sporting event and throwing your life away because you got into a fight with a guy and killed him. You don't even need to be tough, you could push him and he could fall down and split his head open. This behavior is just another sign of the complete moral decay of our pathetic failing society. Our culture is so f***ed beyond repair.

And I say this as someone who can't watch sports with family and friends because I yell at the TV and stand up most of the time.

This shit just isn't worth it, getting into a fight at a sporting event is one of the stupidest things you could do. Zero upside. There is security everywhere, if some degenerate is acting up just report it so they can drag them out.

Saying that fighting has always been part of sports isn’t the same as it happens majority of the time. Your personal experience of wetting your pants when someone is trash talking and you just walk away without saying anything back isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. And I’m pretty sure that the vast majority of people would not take it too kindly when getting verbally abused. Standing up for yourself doesn’t mean you want to start a fight. Your proposed behavior is why bullies exist.

No one said anything about starting physical fights because someone talked shit about teams. You keep ignoring that the Rams fan was defending himself. I guess you lost this debate. And where did I say that ending up in a coma was a common result of small fights that happen in sports?

Yup, you got it. I wet myself when some drunk idiot from Ohio or Chicago says something bad about the Wolverines or Kings and I enable bully behavior by not retaliating and getting into a fight at a sporting event risking injury or arrest. You just don't get it, I laugh at people like this, and guess what, so do most of the people from their own fanbase. That is what you don't get as someone who has clearly not been in that situation much. 99.9% of people, yes even Buckeye and White Sox fans are sane human beings who are there to enjoy themselves and want to get home to their families and on with their lives. Most fans shake my hand after the game and apologize for "our idiots giving you a hard time"

As for the second part, you completely contradict yourself with what you said in your 2nd sentence. Talking shit back to them just leads to it escalating to something I don't want to be a part of, so why do it, better to be a "p***y" and just not say anything.

And yes, you clearly won this debate, so many people here agree with your takes as opposed to mine.

No one gives a shit about your life experience and your fake percentage numbers. In my experience, I always talk back when someone is talking shit to me.

Standing up for yourself means you’re letting the bully know you’re not gonna continue taking that abuse lightly. If it becomes a fight, so be it but that doesn’t mean that’s what you want.

I clearly won. You keep insisting that I condone unprovoked violence when I’m just defending the Rams fan who was assaulted first and defended himself. I don’t give a shit about the support you’re getting.

And I thought you went to bed.
