How did he end up in a coma? Did he swing and miss his intended target and hit himself?

Surely there was more than one punch thrown if there was another party involved.

Regardless, not good at all. Hopefully the individual recovers.

Yeah, I am sure that's what it was, he hit himself. He deserved it though coming down from SF to watch a game in LA, amirite?

Read the article, he was in such bad shape the doctors had to medically induce a coma.

The victim started it by pushing the guy in the back. That guy turns around, pushes the victim and throws one punch. The guy falls down and hits his head.
It sucks for the guy and all. Really a tragedy for him & his family. Seems like a fight that went bad and an accident. I'm sure the guy who threw the (one) punch had no idea the dude would fall and hit his head and go into a coma. But it certainly was not unprovoked. You don't start something unless you are ready to handle the consequences. I don't understand guys who think they are tough and can start sh!t. there is always a bigger, tougher guy (or group of guys). But this is not at all like the Stow incident and the media is jumping & throwing gas on it (like they usually do)

The doctors medically induced the coma. The mayor of Inglewood said that it was a red jersey that threw the punch and the victim hit his head on the ground. I think it was two 49er fans fighting. That’s the impression I got from the press conference. Could be a mistake. Apparently there’s a video but it hasn’t been released.
 
It's always amazing how a video doesn't get released unless it fits the narrative of the people in charge.

If there is a video, just release it.

I agree that they should release it and they probably will at some point, but they could still be investigating. Not everything is a conspiracy to keep facts from you.

Another weird thing is, the video (reportedly) shows a group of red jersey’d fans all around the incident. The fight was only 2 people but there was a big group of fans around. But the victim was found laying in the parking lot. So that means the group of people just left the dude laying there and took off. It’s a pretty weird story, definitely some gaps to fill in, but this wasn’t a gang of dudes beating up a guy like at Dodger stadium.
 
The way the mayor described it was red jersey shoves gold jersey. Gold jersey shoves back. There's a scuffle. Gold jersey connects with one punch and the red jersey goes down and does not get back up.

Exactly, if you get into a fight at a sporting event you are a giant douche, period. I know this situation is apparently different but I've seen dozens of these, unfortunately, and not a single one of them has been one person straight up instigating to the point where the other person has to defend themselves. It's always two idiots looking for trouble. A home fan who wants to fight a road fan for the terrible offense of supporting his team in a road venue finds a road fan moron to stupid to realize you are going to get a lot of **** said to to when you go into a road arena. I know this situation is different, but the first sentence still rings true. How pathetic.

How does releasing the video hamper the investigation? I don't care about what the video reportedly shows, just show the damn video. Blur the faces if necessary. Let us see what happened.

That's why when you go into a road venue wearing the visitors colors, you congratulate the people around you on what a great season their team is having, even if you think their team is dogshit.

Beats me, maybe they’re having video experts enhance it. Maybe they want to try and find witnesses and get their story before everyone on earth sees the video? Could be a lot of reasons. But no, I’m sure you’re right. They’re all working together to hide something from us. Of course they are. Everyone is lying and out to get us. That’s the only possible conclusion!

I don't think the NFL, Kroenke, or the Southern California politicians want the video being played dozens of times before the Super Bowl. Is that a difficult concept to grasp?

It's no surprise the politicians in California and the NFL are trying to keep this story under wraps. Wouldn't want any people coming to LA for the Super Bowl to be discouraged by the crime fest that is going on in the state.

It’s not a difficult concept to grasp, it’s just really hard to take seriously. Look man, I don’t really even care what happened here but I’m just always puzzled when when people make an IMMEDIATE jump to conspiracy thinking at the slightest hint of impropriety.
 
Imagine typing "LMAO" about someone ending up in a coma and knowing that the opinion would be completely different if the person were wearing a different colored shirt. The same type of people who egg this **** on when it happens in the stands instead of acting like adults and trying to stop it.

Or about just walking away instead of feeling the need to punch someone in the face. What an awful situation that is going to greatly effect two peoples lives, and if they have any the lives of their children. Just beyond sad on so many levels.

f*** that guy Luna. Why should I feel bad for a guy that was asking for it? The fact that he went down here alone just speaks volume of how stupid he is. He felt too comfortable talking all the shit in enemy territory.

Acting like adults? Is being a rude disrespectful fan in enemy territory acting like an adult? You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
