They take really bad, often brutal at bats with RISP, have bad starting pitching, a leaky bullpen likely full of over achievers from prior seasons and a inexperienced manager who has no idea how to actually lead or manage in-game, he just makes decisions based on analytics. He has no feel for how a game is suppose to be managed in the moment. He has not recovered from his Game 1 brain fart last year and neither has our closer. If not for Pujols, this team would have been a .500 team at best last season and that is with 2 MVP candidates on it.

Now, this COULD be fixed but that would require the ownership group to fire Mo and replace him with someone who actually has a brain. That would lead to getting rid of Mo's "Yes men", Marmol would be gone in a new york minute.

Find an actual GM/President & manager who isn't a clown before any other moves are made. Then once you do that, you either decide to go all in and hope they can rebound from this atrocious start or firesale.

This team, like the blues, is nowhere near as bad as they have shown. BUT the starting pitching does not apply there, they are indeed dog shit. This is all shit that should have been addressed in the offseason and spring training but of course, our wonderful ownership wants to dumpster dive and then wonder why the team sucks when they have legit trash in the rotation and VerHagen and other clowns in relief.

2 legit SP and a OF who is a productive OBP producer while providing above average defense is what this team should have been adding this offseason along with a C. And it also looks like Contreras was the wrong pick over trading for Murphy. Could have traded for Murphy then use all that cash they used to sign Contreras on actual pitching.

We are now almost five full turns through the rotation and we've had 4 quality starts - tied for 26th in the league. The underlying metrics (FIP, ERA+) are brutal outside of Montgomery. "It's still early!" and all that BS, but 5 turns through is about 1/6 of the season. We need to revamp our order too, it's dumb that Edman isn't leading off, and then Noot should be second. Our batting order should look like:

Noot
Goldy
Gorman
Arenado
I don't care who's after this.
