As for the OAs next year, the lineups lately would indicate that D'Amato is the odd man out and Oshawa likely to go with Oster, Roobroeck and Torrence.

Absolutely ZERO chance that Oshawa would keep Torrance over D’Amato as an overage next year. No possible chance whatsoever.

Other than Danford, D’Amato is their most reliable defenceman. And it’s much more difficult to find a top four defenseman than it is to find a middle six forward.

On top of the fact that Oshawa is already very thin on defence.

D'Amato has been playing 3rd line defence. Torrence is one of our best players since returning from injury not to mention from Oshawa.

But since you are so confident. We can place a wager on it?

That’s why you have to actually watch the games instead of just looking at the stat sheet, my friend.

D’Amato is on the ice for in high leverage situations WAY more often than Torrence is. Like today in overtime when he jumped into a 2-on-1 with a beautiful set up for the winner.

Torrence is a useful grinder, but that’s not what you’re looking for with an overager.

Stake a wager or move on

An internet wager? Seriously?

I’ve heard enough big talking keyboarders to understand they never back up their ridiculous proclamations but go ahead and name your price, my friend.

I’m a season ticket holder, so you can come see me at any home game in section 115.

section 119, many years.

I havent don't any "big talking" lol you attacked my proclamation that D'Amato is the odd man out if all 4 04s return next season. All I said was based on performance, usage and output right now D'Amato is the odd man out.

Start of the year, I would've went the the other way but Roobroeck and Torrence are performing very well and will be great top 6 next year and Oster was brought in to be an OA goalie.

D'Amato can be replaced with an Import D since Oshawa has the space available at Import.

Next years D would likely look like
Danford-Marrelli
Import-Bedkowki
McDonnell-Rodriguez

Oshawa is also likely to add by trading away their 2 2nd round picks next year as this team is not built to carry 3 rookies next year so those picks could also be used to add a Dman or 05 forward this year.

Only way both Torrence and D'Amato stay is if Roobroeck gets signed and plays in the AHL next year.

Before you attack people and call them keyboard warriors, maybe do some research and understand what other posters are saying rather than just attacking them. People like you are why most of the people than contribute to this board moved to other means of communication.

Good day sir. Have a good new year and rest of the season.

McDonnell only get a handful of shifts in low pressure situations and Rodriguez hasn’t even seen the ice in nearly three months - - in his second year, that shows how little confidence they have in him.

You’re living in a dream world if you honestly believe they’ll have those two and some unknown mystery Euro comprise 50% of the defensive corp next season. ESPECIALLY if they intend on being a contending team.

Just so they can keep a third line winger as an OA? Come on.

If anything, Torrence should be traded in the next week to pick up a decent ‘05 player.

Luke Torrance opening Goal for Oshawa....btw

It certainly wasn’t a great goal and should definitely have been stopped.

Incidentally, Torrance was also standing around in the slot watching on the opening goal for Kitchener.

Very disappointing effort by Oshawa today. Oster was the only one who showed up today and without his brilliance the score would have been much worse.

It’s inexplicable why they continue to push ice time onto Owen Griffin. It was a complete waste of Sennecke and Roobroeck to have him on their line until the 3rd period when Laxdal mercifully moved him down the lineup.

Maybe Griffin will eventually grow into being a useful player, but right now he’s badly outmatched and belongs in JrA. After all the time he’s had on the PP and top lines, it’s astonishing that Griffin has only managed ONE (1) measly assist for the entire season.

Some people love to hear their own voice heard and don't actually listen at all to anyone else. I will no longer engage the children that frequent these boards lol

When you make a woefully misguided comment, you can’t be stunned when someone refutes it.

At that point, the key is to avoid doubling down or making ridiculously hollow offers of a “wager” on the outcome.

You could be right but if the rangers sign him he is AHL bound.
Correct. I wish the best of luck to the kid if he is signed. That's why I feel Oshawa holds onto the remaining 4 04 born players for the remainder of the season and make a decision next year unless "a to good to pass up" trade comes available.

You don't want to trade D'Amato now and then see Roobroeck get signed in the off season and are stuck now searching for an OA.

teams have called on torrance and oshawa has no interest in moving him.

Oh I am highly aware lol and why would they
no i agree, if i was a team that was interested in making a run id love to have him, he's a great 3rd line guy on a good team and a good overage too. teams want melee but torrance may be just as good and less hype.

Next year he will.be a top 6 forward though for Oshawa and very much needed up front.

I assume our Top 6 will be a combination of Torrence, Buckley, Sennecke, Roobroeck, Ritchie and Kumpulainen

It’s not that difficult to acquire a good OA as evidenced by the trade for Lockhart - - from a division rival no less.

If it’s a trade brewing then that sucks to lose a home grown player. Whatever team gets him is adding a spark plug to their line up. Here’s hoping it’s a contending team.

Any trade rumours in the schwa lately? Wondering if you guys will keep roobroeck

A big physical top six forward like Roobroeck would net a huge return - - certainly much more than Luke Torrance will.

What a steal it was for Oshawa to pick him up for an 8th round pick. Thanks again, Niagara!
