I hate to say it but it might be time to blow this team up. sell some assets, retool for next year.

I assume the standard retooling: Overagers, 19 year olds that you would not want back anyway, Younger players that aren't likely to help you win???

No disrespect, but wasn't that always the plan? Rolofs and Stewart are just placeholder OA's and there isn't an impact 04 on the roster. There's not much to sell, but you can add a few picks for sure.

The 05 class is strong with Ritchie Buckley, Kumpulainen, and Marrelli, but I don't see how anyone could have expected this roster to contend.

Roobroeck is an 04 draft pick and Torrance is producing better than anyone on the team

I don't mean any disrespect to either of those players, but I wouldn't have expected either to score 30+ goals before the season and probably still don't. They are more in the 'good' category for me rather than impact players. You'll have several of those next year on the Generals.

I would trade 2 of Torrence, Roobroeck and McIntyre by the deadline. keep the spare as an OA next year with D'Amato and Oster.

I would also move Lockhart, Stewart and Rolofs at the deadline....if there is a demand for them.

Don’t know if there’s a market for McIntyre or Stewart. Stewart, Rolofs, and Lockhart will all likely graduate out of the OHL as Generals. Roger gave up a 3rd and 5th for Lockhart so I would imagine he won’t let him go for scraps. McIntyre probably comes to camp next year, but I don’t see where he fits in.

Torrance has been lights out this season when he’s healthy. Solid get for an 11th rd pick. Would love to keep him as an OA, but I don’t think that’s happening.

I’m not completely sold on Oster though. Big kid, but wayyyy too hot and cold. Very rarely does he shut a game down the way Keyser and Appleby did.

Apparently there might be… we’ll see how this plays out.

Good kid. Was well liked amongst fans here. We’ll see if he flourishes under Wilson’s systems.
Rob Wilson has the ability to put players into the right situation were they can flourish. He did with Emmett Sproule and Connor Lockhart. Can he play centre?

Ryder Mcintyre was a fan favorate. but wasnt a top 6 player on the generals this give younger players more ice time plus Ryder wasn't coming back as an OA next season,
Ryder good luck in peterbourgh and thank you for your time in oshawa.

Is Caedan Heins still with the Gens? I still see his name on the roster but never on the ice? Anyone?

He's a rookie that's generally healthy scratched most games now that the team is healthy. Expect him to work in maybe every 5 games or so.

How does one improve if one does not play? Maybe he will get more ice time after the trade deadline when some of the older less productive players are moved.I can think of a couple just off-hand.l

I mean, you can't start all the rookies every game. It's a 15 round draft every year, maybe 3 or 4 make it a year.

PLUS he was selected 111th overall in 2022! I'm curious as to who you think is "less productive" that will also be moved at the deadline lol

I mean, he’s played in 17 of the 24 games for the Gens. If not for the injuries to Ritchie, Torrence, McIntyre, and Buckley, he probably would’ve played less games this season. He’ll probably see more consistent time as the season winds down.

I think he dresses for a fair no of games but wonder what his TOI is? Only been to a handful of games this year but seldom notice him in games. Maybe I should follow him as a scout would, follow the player, not the game. I also think the reason he was drafted so low was he was from Florida and the Gens have not had much luck convincing American players to come to Oshawa. Heins was a 6th rounder but McDonell was an 11th rounder and gets a decent amount of ice time. And no, I am not a relative or friend. Just call me curious. Could also question the handling of Rodriguez.

Heins, Toms, Griffin, Pylypuik - combined 75 games and zero points. I get it, even when they play the ice time is limited. But this is a hole that needs to be filled over the coming years

I'm in Oshawa for work on Wednesday and want to see another OHL arena.

What is the parking situation like?

What time does the Box Office open?

Thanks in advance.

Parking in the tower is 5 bucks but should be street parking you just have to look a bit. If you like Ramen Kenzo Ramen is delicious.
