Kudos to Brandon Wright, the teams now former social media and game ops lead. He’s moving on to the Toronto PWHL team. The Gennies social media game has been a bright spot for the team over the last few seasons. Tough shoes to fill.

Where is Nikita Tarasevich? No longer on the roster. Also, a few weeks back, I asked what was going on with Caeden Heins, on the roster and in the line-up but is seldom on the ice? Anyone?

We already answered your questions about Heins, scroll up.

Tarasevich was cut within a week of acquiring Lockhart

Surprised he hasn’t ended up playing somewhere else yet.
It's a tough Market for OA forwards. Not many teams looking for one, especially with his low performance to start the year. I suspect he ends up in JrB

5 in a row going into the break. This team is hitting on all cylinders right now. Enjoy the break boys.

Former Oshawa Generals and Memorial Cup winning head coach D.J. Smith has been fired by the Ottawa Senators.

Future unknown at this time.

Despite the Gens streak...bring him back. Wishful thinking. He wouldn't come, of course...too much of a drop status wise and paywise. He likely doesn't need to work anymore anyhow. The Gens looked good last night, maybe the best they have been this year?

That’s too bad. I think the OHL is better off having a guy like DJ coaching a competitive team year after year, but I would imagine he’ll find a spot in the AHL or as an assistant again.

The Gens will be well represented at the top prospects game this year. Sennecke, Danford, and Marrelli have all been invited

Big crowd tonight and a very entertaining game, despite the unfortunate result and the win streak coming to an end.
No idea why the brain trust continues to insist on force feeding Owen Griffin ice time. He’s not ready to be playing in the OHL right now - - and DEFINITELY not ready to be getting power play minutes late in a tie game. Griffin was absolutely useless on the power play. He needs to be getting 4th line ice time until he develops some offensive ability at this level.
In comparison, Fraser McDonell continues to get only a few shifts for the entire game and the rest of the defensmen are forced into a five man rotation. It’s completely asinine and totally unsustainable for an entire season. McDonell still needs some development but his physical game is already decent and he’s certainly been no worse than Owen Griffin.

How can Lewis and Senuk be allowed to continue reffing in this league? Their incompetence was unbelievable last night but, unfortunately, totally predicted and in line with all their previous work. Both should be doing house league games not OHL!!!!!.

As the ohl trade deadline is coming up January 10th, will the General's do anything ? I can't see them doing anything with the forwards but I do think they need an 05 left shot defenseman, don't know what you would have to give up maybe Griffin plus pick(s) what's yours prediction.

Wouldn't you want an '06 instead of an '05? Looks like you are building around your '06 group? If building around your '06 group I would think you would want to keep Griffin who will be a big contributor when he is 18 and the '06s are 19.

Any appetite to trade Roobroek? He might be the only way you bring in a player like that.

Oshawa won't be super active but will likely add a player for next year for some picks. I ha e always wondered if we move on from Griffin or not, time will tell.

As for the OAs next year, the lineups lately would indicate that D'Amato is the odd man out and Oshawa likely to go with Oster, Roobroeck and Torrence.

If this is the case, likely adding Defence to the lineup I anticipate

I would trade Roobroek if i knew what NYR plan for him next season AHL or OHL.

I know its always an honour to represent your country, but I feel like Kumpulainen would’ve benefitted more from sticking with the Gens and actually playing during this WJC stretch. He’s about to be sitting on the bench for his 2nd straight game.
