Really looking for Kulemin to have a bounce back year, hopefully his success in the KHL will carry over.

Leaf fans expect big things from him. He has to overcome his flat year. I think he will.

This is exactly why we do not put Reilly in an NHL game yet. No protection. As it is, if you're playing for the Leafs against Boston, Rangers, Pittsburgh, any tough team like that, it's every man for himself 'cause no one will, or can, stick up for you. This might get ugly real quick.

Bring in Holzer and Ranger, they're good enough. I've been watching Marlies games and Fraser would be my first choice but Burke seems to be avoiding genuine toughness on this team (can someone please explain that?).

He seemed to pick it up more as the season went on there, with another 3 points today.

If he's done now, he'll have finished with 38 points in 36 games and leading the league in +/-.
 
this line up is just so ... uggghhhhh

solid on the wings, solid on D, solid depth... just don't have the most important players a No 1 c and a frikin goalie

I fully agree with your first point but if they are scoring more than they are allowing and we have defensively sound lines 2-4 it could be forgiven

JVR Grabbo both play D
McClem, Kulemin and Fratts all play D
Komorov and Brown play D

Agreed, but it's only 48 games and if things don't go well we'll have the draft to look forward too.

Overall, unlike the last lockout, I think smart cap management by Burke is going to put this team in a very good position to snag free agents in the next couple years.

Lupul- JVR/Bozak- Kessel
Kadri - Grabovski - Kulemin
Macarthur - JVR/Bozak - Frattin
Connolly/Komarov - McClement - Steckel
press box: Lombardi

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Liles - Komisarek
Holzer - Franson
Ranger
-When Gardiner comes back, he plays 2nd pair, bump Komi/Liles down, and take out Holzer/Franson

Trade Gunnarson, the fake love affair with this player is over. "he is good because he is invisible", No he is over-rated as some super smart Dman. Its b.s. Holzer and Ranger can give u more. Gunnarson is the most over-rated toronto player. Bozak is allowed to disappear for 15 games and saw no punishment under Wilson. Bozak as a first line center? That pretty much sums up the Leafs right there. I didnt mention the most unpredictable goaltending in the NHL. I hope we get a top #3 pick as this will benefit the team most in the long run. First line centerman and goaltending is still this teams biggest holes, Burke has not fixed either since he has been here.

Lol you're clueless if you think Gunnarsson is overrated. He is the steadiest D-man in our lineup right now. The lack of respect this guy gets is ridiculous.
 
I want Luongo. I don't want his contract.

31-14-8 with a .919 save percentage..... Good Golly

Carl Gunnarsson is terrible, open your eyes. Steady? Steadily average with terrible feet and brain farts constantly with no more upside than what u see now. He gets a long leash to just disappear for 15-20 games. The respect he gets from some is ridiculous. News flash , LEAFS DONT HAVE STEADY DMEN.

Gunnar is decent but is over his head playing on the top pair. Expect Ranger to push him down the lineup and the Leafs will be a much better Team for it.

Im with u on that !!! Burke will tell u different and some suckers actually believe it. He has no idea how to find a good goalie. Goaltending is the most important position and the Leafs fail at solving this over and over again.

People need to take a step back with this Ranger talk. He hasn't played in the NHL since the 2009-10 season where he played a whopping 8 games. I'm hoping he can make the transition, but let's pull back the reigns.
 
Why do people not like Steckel?

He wins the majority of the faceoffs, is a great pk guy, good defensively

What more do you want from a 4th line center?

You guys look to hard for a goat sometimes.
