there's a few leafs I think are good. Only so many you can really choose from when you have a team as bad as this but I do have my favorites.

Give me your list of good and valuable leafs.

Phaneuf, Kessel, Gunnarsson, Grabovski, Kulemin, JVR, Gardiner, and Frattin. In order.

Obviously prospects can be considered valuable but these are the NHL players on the Leafs that I guess are actually qualified to be NHL players.

Anyone else is scrap.

If Morgan Rielly is in the lineup.... I will be disappointed. Cannot afford to rush another prospect.

Kadri makes this team because I guarantee you he will come in better shape than some of our guys who havent played abroad. Such Frattin gets knocked down to line 2 and Steckel and Brownie have to earn their spots. Aucoin will surprise and make the team

I understand the sensitivity of situation and whether to keep Rielly here, But it's all based on Schenn and there completely different players.

Rielly will never be powerhouse, He'll defend using speed and smarts. Also with Gardiner possibly not ready for the start of the season it could open a spot of him.

It'll be a interesting situation as it unfolds.

Randy Carlyle and his call-ups. Could they be Ducks?

There are players that RC should be familiar with. Lupul played under him, but he also has a few Ducks to choose from if he needs call-ups.

M. Fraser: could be there for toughness (I don't think there's much of that now unless Orr/Rosehill are played), or for defensive depth. He has been playing with Holzer for a while now.

N. Duchamps: not skilled enough to play a top 9 role, but he could contribute on the PK. He is fairly fast and could be put in to give the Leafs an energy line. Also Brown (another Duck that RC is familiar with) has had significant injuries in the last little while. RC will no doubt have to put someone in his place this season.

Deschemps hasn't even been THAT great for the Marlies. He's been painful to watch at times.

I would not put JVR on the third line he will at least be on the second line.
