I didn’t know Matt Murray was in Dallas. Thought he was on LTIR for the Leafs? When did I miss the Stars acquiring him?:sarcasm:

He’s currently shutting out Minnesota in the 3rd period.

Fleury is toast.

Pass Roy and ride off into the sunset.

Or will the Rangers sign him next year after Quick prices himself out? And Benoit Allaire tries to resuscitate him next? I think he might have to try and worry more about getting Shesterkin going again than another old goalie.

The Wild’s defense is this with Spurgeon and Brodin out.

Kaprizov is out.

And Gustavsson is also out so I guess Wallstedt might get thown out there at some point.

That second goal just took them out of the game. Only about 90 seconds into the 3rd period.

I still give Hynes credit with goalies. Fleury wouldn’t be playing this much if Gustavsson wasn’t hurt. I think he played only one or two non-back to back games between the hiring of Hynes and Gustavsson getting hurt.

Rangers did in fact have the puck a lot tonight, but, they looked like October November Devils. Many chances they gave up were high quality 1 on 1 with the goalie chances

That's actually kinda true seeing the highlights, a lot of their GA's were guys completely wide open or some absurd goal that went in. Hopefully they have the lull in January that that the 22-23 Devils had in December and January till that Rangers game last year.

People have complained about us have the most ever Too Many Men penalties.

I can’t find a site with specific penalties tabulated but this site lists all the penalties for each year.

So counting them:

2023-24 Too Many Men Penalties (up to 1/8/24)
ANA: 9 (2 on 11/24 vs Kings)
VAN: 8 (2 on 12/9 vs Canes)
TOR: 8 (2 on 10/28 @ Preds)
NJD: 7
COL, NYR: 6
CAR: 5
ARI, CBJ, EDM, LAK, NSH, PHI, STL, WPG: 4
(EDM: 3 on 10/24 vs Wild &
WPG: 2 on 11/9 vs Preds)
BOS, BUF, CGY, DAL, MTL, OTT, VGK: 3
DET, NYI, SJS: 2
CHI, FLA, MIN, PIT, TBL: 1
SEA, WSH: 0

No idea how reliable this site is with catching every penalty but there you go.

The Oilers having 4 and getting 3 of them in one game is pretty wild (no pun intended). Woodcroft was fired after 7 more games from that one.

That Bruin jumping on is pretty hilarious. Not seeing what Colorado did exactly.

I can’t find any video on the sewage dump formally known as Twitter.

I guess Bendar didn’t see much on his side either.

I think a big reason to that , which I alluded too on Saturday following the loss was that their core/best players have missed virtually no games due to injury so far this season.
True, and beyond that, everything is going in and being stopped. Their underlying numbers seem ok but not on par with the results. Their 5 on 5 adjusted Corsi is 51% as is their expected goals percentage. Their team PDOs are all above 100 in every situation. Just one of those seasons for them. Just in time for them as well since Pettersson may have only signed a one year deal if they didn't compete this season.

Some gross goals given up by the Sharks. Shocked it wasn't Blackwood
Blackwood being so horrible is the reason why it wasn’t Blackwood.

He lost the starting job to Kahkonen some time ago. And he was horrific in Saturday night’s game against the Leafs. All four goals he allowed that night were bad.

I remember about 4-5 weeks ago when the Sharks had a pretty respectable road trip (including beating us) and those charts came out which were trying to indicate that the Sharks weren’t really THAT bad of a team lol.

Yeah, they weren’t THAT bad of a team for a whole week lol.
