Jets really taking it to the Avs.
Okay, I really think that Georgiev is a Vezina contender right now. I'm not saying it's sustainable or that he will be at year's end, but I think he really deserves a lot of credit right now. Yes, I think he's playing over his head right now, but I think he's been one of their best players.
I don't know who to really give the credit to right now. Makar is probably worth A LOT of points. The guy is probably worth at least 10 points over a full season. MacKinnon is probably worth quite a few points too.
I've been saying it for at least 5-6 weeks now, but the roster they've been icing the better part of the year is NOT a cup contender in my mind. It's really average and even looks like a team that you could even realistically see miss the playoffs.
I know they're gonna get some guys back and they'll probably make a deadline move or two that will really make them look a lot harder to take down once the playoffs roll around, but man is this roster painfully average.
Nichushkin has been out for like 5 weeks or maybe even 6 now and Landeskog hasn't played at all this year. He's yet to even make his season debut. Doesn't look like he will until after the new year.
Kadri and Burakovsky are both gone from last year's team.
Alex Newhook has been a massive disappointment. I already don't understand what the hype was last year. ''Oh, they need to really be careful who they trade him for and make sure they win the cup if they do''. Yeah, okay!
