I loved laughing at McPhee for much of his Washington tenure. I don’t think he did a great job there, but he certainly did better for Vegas than Francis did for Seattle.

Let the (irrational) hype for the Flyers begin.

If anything, I'm starting to wonder if maybe Vancouver really is closer to a lottery team than the Jacques Lemaire-like run we saw last year under Boudreau? They have started on the road, but they've blown multi-goal leads both games, they've been getting outshot both games they've played. I've watched both of their games and it could be time to really panic for them.

I don't think they're Sharks bad, but they could be like worse than Kraken bad. It's still too early to say and they open the season with 5 straight on the road.

The Flyers can easily have a Hynes 2015 type of season where they overachieve their way into contention for 2/3 of the season, then just run out of gas when good teams finally start to take them seriously.
