That’s not enough. No cheap shots no winning in the playoffs. Sticks in the back and the nuts. Hit after the whistle hit the goalie when he’s vulnerable etc. head shots too

Do you think these guys are not trying to hurt each other? Looks that way to me as a totally neutral observer.

Hockey is a physical game and this is the finals, guys aren’t actively trying to injure the other team but yeah you better play physical because it’s all or nothing.

Like I said originally it’s depressing to me. I want to see the best players in the world skate and display their skills. Checking and some genuine fights are fine and expected. I would just love if they actually took the cheap shots out of the game once and for all but watching this game both teams are using them in the ordinary course of play.

What cheap shots have even happened tonight? Manson with a follow through of a stick on a hit? You’re acting like the Charlestown Chiefs are out there lmao, relax.

I think some of thr play has gone over the line from physical to subtle attempt to injure

Perry and Maroon both hit Kuemper when he was bent around thr post that they easily could have avoided. A couple of other plays some where along the way. I’m not uptight by the way. Just resigned to NJ having to go through that learning process.

This isn’t the ECHL, nobody is out there head hunting or throwing butt ends and elbows tonight. It’s the finals, both teams want to set a tone, I haven’t seen anything close to dirty

Well wait until you are old and you can’t see the screen. Then you will see it my way.

Tampa has that championship moxy to not wilt when they are behind and exploit even a really talented teams weaknesses.

I think most other teams would have folded up after that first period, but most other teams aren't the two time defending champs

That Cup commercial really hits me for some reason, great cover of that song too
I really thought for a while it was the girl from the Cranberries that passed away a few years ago, but it's not her.

I like it too.

That Party Hard song (and commercial) makes me wanna burn down a liquor sotre.

They are very savvy and never panic and have a plan even when they get punched in the mouth.

Cooper is a wizard at making changes in game and altering their game to be effective . Feels rare as whenever we had issues generating speed through the neutral zone or breaking out .... we just kept trying to do the sam thing over and over.
I guess if your roster is limited to what you can do , no point making adjustments. Dont have the players that are heavy on the forecheck or funnel everyhitng to the net asd we have no one that can stand there besides maybe Bastian .

Performed by Susan Calloway. There's nowhere to listen to or download it yet. Wouldn't surprise me if the NHL doesn't allow it to be released. But it sounds beautiful. The Twitter post points to an NHL link, but it's for the 10 greatest shootout goals.

3 days off?? The hell is this the NBA
Games will be every other day this series, except for the break between games 1 and 2.

Actually, for a few years I remember they really stretched out the SCF there, so not to compete with the NBA Finals.

It went something game 1 on say a Monday, game 2 on a Wednesday. Then game 3 on a Saturday, game 4 on a Monday, game 5 on a Thursday, game 6 on a Sunday and game 7 on a Wednesday.

It was like they would go two whole days between games every time the series switched cities in the SCF, but that only lasted for a few years it seemed from like 2016 or 2017 up until maybe the covid playoffs.

They should have gone with Subterranean Homesick Blues and done a video where different players drop the cards

If the Avs win this series, I'd feel a lot more comfortable about the devils since they are pretty much built the same way. I'm not so sure with the Avs goaltending though....

Their top line is currently Landeskog/MacKinnon/Nichushkin and Ratanen was on that line.

It’s their top defensemen that are young, not big and zippy.

Not sure we’re built that way. Tampa is the one with smaller top forwards and bigger defense.

I know it will be dissected and talked about by people, but I wonder if Kuemper's eye injury played a big role in that Sergachev goal getting past him? I really don't like when goalies get screened on something like that. It's not like he had bodies right in front of him or layers of traffic.

Play came from the left and his injury was in his right eye so I don’t think it had too much to do with it. Besides I don’t think the Avs start him if there was any issues.
