The only thing going on in the league that's dumber than the Daws stuff going on over here is how much Hellebuyck is being played in Winnipeg. The Jets BADLY need to be eliminated from playoff contention.
The Jets were 6 points behind Vegas (with the same games played) for the first spot out of the playoffs coming into last night and with both teams losing in regulation, they stay 6 points behind Vegas for the first spot OUT of the playoffs in the West.
Vegas doesn't even look like they're gonna make the playoffs, so the constant of trotting Hellebuyck out there and fighting for the playoffs at this point really calls for a Jim Mora clip.
And speaking of Vegas, of course when I start rooting for them to make it and get back in, they come out and are getting scored on by Kris Russell and Codi Ceci, and then getting shutout by Mike Smith.
I wanted them to miss if Vancouver was gonna get in. Vancouver is NOT getting in, and I can't stomach shitty Todd McLellan making the playoffs in 2022, so I'll gladly welcome Vegas getting in over them, but LA's schedule is way too soft. The only team that's even decent is Vancouver. Everybody else SUCKS big time. I doubt they're gonna come into Seattle and lose like we did. They got one more against Chicago who they blew up a few nights ago and two against Anaheim.

They remind me a lot of what we were like back around the 2015, 2016 days but without having a Cory behind them. They’re real real bad. Them losing out wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest

Nashville has to play Saros two days in a row? And then they have to yank him and Rittich allows 4 on 6 shots lol.
By the way, Rittich is a shit, chump goalIe. Where’s the one poster trying to get people to eat crow for saying Rittich was bad? Hynes don’t even wanna play him because he sucks so much.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Saros is back in for the next period. I’m guessing he won’t be though.
I haven’t watched a second of that game. I’m watching the Sharks/Wild. I was just looking at the app and it was 3-1 and then I check it 20 minutes later and it’s 8-2.

Holy shit, 3 of the 4 on Rittich were bad. All of them were leaky and just gross. I thought MAF had the softy of the night locked up, but there was one so bad on Rittich that Darren Pang was puzzled and couldn’t believe it. He was just looking for something else that caused that to go in because it was such a bad one on the goalie.
And that goalie the Flyers were playing today is worse than Martin Jones. What a tank commander he is. I thought they picked up Gillies.
The Flyers roster went from solid to disarray. Their young players all regressed and they have some ugly deals. If the Flyers come away from this draft with a guy who doesn’t play in the NHL for two years and doesn’t become an impact player for two more they might not be much better even then.

I would think so , I don’t know their prospects that well but from what I know they have nothing really amazing coming up . Depends on what they do this off-season but maybe they hold tight and suck all next year for Bedard .

Prime candidates for either of the 2 possible generationals next year. We picked the wrong year to suck (though we could suck again, just not as likely).
The odds of us being anywhere near this bad again are extremely slim. Unless both of our goalies are injured and only start 30 games again (where they were gimpy for all of those games) it won't happen. Give us any type of legitimate NHL caliber goaltending and we're not near the basement. I wouldn't mind 10th worst and lottery win though. Even being that bad seems very unlikely to me though
Meh. Look at EDM. Look at PHI with Lindros. One or two great players can’t save a bad team. PHI will need better management to turn it around.

That's true.
But you have to admit, though.... McDavid would've transformed our entire franchise.
Jack may yet do that himself (of course) but McDavid's impact would've been felt almost immediately.

Michkov is a pretty incredible #2 as well. Whoever finishes last will have a great shot at grabbing a franchise player. Just have to hope that Arizona is even worse than Philly next year.
It’s not like EDM has won anything with him and Drai. And if NJ has McDavid they probably don’t have Hughes.

I know it may sound crazy but I’d rather have our roster and prospect pool than the Oilers . They are constructed poorly IMO . Holland had a bit of room last off-season to fill out the roster better but he blew it ( Keith , Smith , etc) Devils have a very very good young core and cap room plus are not tied down by any real anchor contracts .
I mean he wasn't able to do that for Edmonton. I do think Ray ran us better than Chia did Edmonton but it's still not a given. Who knows maybe Lou is allowed to stick around if we land McDavid. If that happened we'd have been f***ed

The contracts seem ok excoet maybe for Hischier. That’s a lot to pay for a 3C.

I have both Demko and Oettinger as starters, currently in my fantasy semi finals. I already have Lehner starting against us (yup).

So you wanna know who to choose out of Demko and Oettinger? Is that your question? I’d personally choose Demko, but if you’re just looking for wins I think Oettinger is safe.
