Gotta hand it to Cal. Showing some good character while proving he is too good for the AHL. The best-case scenario is still him putting it together, turning it around, and taking over the #1 job in LA.
REIGN PREVIEW – Ontario at Calgary, 12/20 - LA Kings InsiderAfter Saturday night’s shutout of Bakersfield, Ontario is now the top defensive team in the AHL and has allowed the lowest number of goals in the league (55), an average of 2.39 tallies per contest.
Sturm for PK coach of the Kings. Let’s get him well roundedI wonder if Sturm was the key to our defense last year in addition to being the death of our power play.

I hope the momentum keeps going for Cal to boot.
It worked so well, that with Copper hot, maybe we should try to send Quick down but he may get claimed.Gotta hand it to Cal. Showing some good character while proving he is too good for the AHL. trying to find a clip of the byfield/turcotte goal.....was very nice.
Byfield like a knife thru warm butter
Actually, this woman was not bad and she was much better comparing with 2 guys from Arizona.Did Leah Hextall get demoted to the AHL?? Lol

Well that’s good to hear, but the scoring coverage was boring afActually, this woman was not bad and she was much better comparing with 2 guys from Arizona.
Byfield and Turcotte have really good chemistry together.. I’d like to see them play a dozen or so more games together and see what happensLove seeing Byfield drive like that. That's exactly what he should be doing: attacking the center of the ice with his speed, hands, and vision. I think he's a better passer than a goal scorer, and a 6'5" QB at full speed will draw a lot of attention, leaving players like Turc on that goal wide open.
Turcotte - Byfield - Kaliyev is our future 1st line, and I refuse to listen to anyone who says otherwise.Byfield and Turcotte have really good chemistry together.. I’d like to see them play a dozen or so more games together and see what happens

I guess I'd be okay with Lardo being on that line too. Kaliyev could play with Danault given his passing ability down low and his defensive security blanket. It's not a crazy thought.
Iafallo-Byfield-Vilardi looked great. Turcotte is a high-end Iafallo type and Kaliyev might not be as toolsy as Vilardi but he's learning to use his body in similar manner.

Turcotte - Byfield - Vilardi
Fiala - Danault - Kaliyev
Moore - Kopitar - xxx
That's a beefy, skilled top 9 with a crafty puck transporter on every line.
Smart hockey from QB too… considering he has no game IQ.Love seeing Byfield drive like that. That's exactly what he should be doing: attacking the center of the ice with his speed, hands, and vision. Apologies for horrible mouse writing.....Tage Thompson Career Stat and age during AHL games.

Shouldn't your ages for Byfield be one less for each? He's an August 2002 birthday so he was never 19 during the 20-21 season, never 20 during the 21-22 season, and he won't be turning 21 during this season.
