It's still the same injury, I think, unless there's an actual update in there? I gave up looking for 'actual' news in there a long time ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a concussion at this point honestly

Yeah from that hit he took I don't want to speculate but I wouldn't be one bit surprised if it was a concussion. Just disappointing as hell for Turcotte. Just looking at Bowan Byram and how he's completely shut down for this whole year it's definitely a cause for concern. But not gonna jump to conclusion just hope he's going to be okay.

And it was a chicken shit hit from behind… this is why we should have kept Boko.. we needs those kids protected

Reign are short on D due to all the call ups, might be a sign the Moverare is not coming back to ONT and the Reign need some help on the left side. He's still Islanders property, they are paying his salary and he cannot play for LA. (Remember Moulson a few years back, same thing). Right now that leaves Hickey, Gaunce, Phillips and Kasastul on the left side, although I think Hickey can play the right. With Wolanin, Spence, Moverare and Strand on the Kings, Reign don't have enough bodies with these temp players filling in (PTO's, ECHLers) and they don't want to throw away a promising season down the stretch, so this is a good pick up at no cost. Taylor Ward also joins the team out of the NCAA as a forward, and we'll see how many others the Kings sign from their draft picks as the NCAA tourney gets underway later this week and teams are eliminated.

I didn't believe that Phillips or Burke were going to get another contract with the Kings, so these are good moves to shore up the D since neither Strand nor Moverare will be on the Reign the rest of the season.

Nice win tonight to snap a 4 game losing streak, beating Grand Rapids 6-2. Frk, Tynan and Ward combined for 11 pts and +16. Ward was much more comfortable tonight, had 3 assists for the rookie. Robbed on a blast from the slot on a one-timer. He can play physical too. Looks like a good signing by the Kings. With the win the Reign clinched a playoff spot. The new D men looked comfortable too, played well. Hickey has been surprisingly a little shaky with turnovers. Hope to see some improvement there.

Why not another year in Finland and hopefully a better season before coming over so young?

Man, Blake has to be the most aggressive GM in the league when it comes to putting junior aged players in the AHL.

He's junior-aged, but he's playing professional hockey in a country that produces quality players.

Getting him to play on a smaller ice surface since he's already been playing against men won't hurt.

I agree with King’s Pawn, they’re trying to get him adjusted to NA ice…
He looks like a defensive stud in Liiga but when you watched him in the WJC, you could see the untapped offensive game.. maybe that’s what they want him to expand in..

And obviously, I think the team wants his toughness ASAP… especially with Turcotte getting run and injured
