I'm still surprised Calgary didn't claim Wagner at the start of the year. Especially with Pitlick going down. I wonder what kind of value (if any) he has league wide

I don't think much. He doesn't really look like a good player even at the AHL level honestly.

Any info on the Turcotte injury?

Injury or illness?

Mayor reporting that he will be out for tonight and tomorrow. 'Banged up' was the term used.

It's hard not to love how Turcotte plays the game but for all the people clamoring about how Turcotte should have been up with the big club long ago the kid just seems to always be hurt.

I think it was on a recent podcast of his where he mentioned that Turcotte has played some of the least amount of games compared to all of the other prospects.

Frankly I think he'd be safer at wing on teh big club than C on the Reign, the way he goes recklessly digging 200 ft when he's unlikely to be a C for the forseeable future for the Kings is crazy. If he were on a line of say Turcotte-Kopitar-Kempe he'd be doing a lot less of the raw dirty work vs. the Reign who are pretty f***ing soft.

That would be a good line

The Ontario Reign just rescheduled the November 26 game for March 7, a Monday. I’m going to definitely be raising a little hell here because we had three tickets in row b section 106 on a Friday. This is not cool at all.

It’s about time someone stood up against all this rescheduling. Go get ‘em! I feel sorry for that poor manager!

If you really wanna raise hell,
Get one of those new led torches. they light up 3x the area at a fraction of the cost.

Frk did well in the NHL.
He did ok. I think it’s all about the plan with Frk and given they haven’t called him up we can only assume they don’t see him on next years NHL roster (which is how it should be). I just don’t see the big picture benefit to calling him up at this point. Best case is that he signs a deal to play in Ontario next year as he’s a great presence down there.

Friend of mine watched the game last night and said Byfield was flying out there and didn't look like he'd missed a few months. Hopefully he's back on the big club in a week or so.

When have you guys ever seen Wagner score at the pace Frk is currently setting in the AHL? I disagree and think he deserves another shot.
For sure agree he's doing great in the AHL and I also hope he can be competitive at the NHL level one day. My guess is that his talents are just better suited to being a really great AHLer than a strong NHLer. Hope I'm wrong.

Kind of agree but if you read the prior article and check his games history, he's really only gotten a good look at the NHL level with the Wings.

I don't think he's a guy who will be doing a lot of dirty work even though he's a bit feisty, you just need to put him on a line with iafallo and danault, excellent in possession, and watch the fireworks.

I imagine they need a whole lot more conditioning though, his 'game shape' was mentioned more than once. He might be hurting today, haha. Even if he was working out the whole time, keep in mind this is basically right in the heart of the season.

Yeah this is well said. Seems like it's just a question of whether we can get away with packing talent around this guy at the NHL level to compensate for his gaps. I'm not sure it can work...but the guy is dangerous, so who knows. Either way, his skillset sets him up to destroy at the AHL level.
