I like that his stats are starting to show. That he's actually getting on the board. Kid could use a lot of time in the A, I feel. I hope he stays down there a long time and really refines his game and learns how to be a winger in the professional league. Kid missed so much time with his back spasms, could really use the time in Ontario.
This team is still searching for its identity. I think we'll be a skill, fast team when the rookies come up, but we do need more sandpaper in the lineup. Not necessarily another Lemieux, but somebody who's willing to drop the gloves and protect our guys. My experience when playing against shit disturbers, I don't play as aggressively and I kind of sit back and play more passively. This team needs a Clifford and such to be able to play with confidence. You gotta bring back old time hockey with this team.
I agree with your edit. I want to see Vilardi and Kupari packaged with a first rounder to bring back Dahlin from Buffalo. The slings need that young Dman. Time to go get him before someone else trades for him.
