Islands in the stream.
Anybody else having considerable difficulty with board being unstable since the latest server migration? Basically unusable now. I've tried 4 different browsers and this board is like a heatstorm for Memory usage. Uses twice as many browser "processes" as any other site. Now this week new fun. Can't stay logged in. Go to a different thread, logged out. good grief.

Looks like once a week posting at this rate.

Solid work by the algorithm that does Microsoft's MSN work nowadays.

I know people will role their eyes at an editor, but Microsoft fired them all a few years ago so an automated service could do it.

Here is todays amusement for many of you and a giant who gives a f uck from many more of you.

I have been posting regularly on this board since September 1997. I was in Liverpool and the UK was shut due to a funeral of a girl named Diana.

So after 27 years on the board I have decided to take a one year break. Why? I admit it... I spend too much time here and more over this site is no longer as fun as it once was. And I admit the lose of first Fugu and then Buff did hit me hard. We have quietly lost a few good posters to the mountain and it has caused me to take time to reflect on the changes on the changes on this site. The big one is the clear hatred some of the powers that be have against not just the oilers but oiler fans.

Last ten years I have given the good fight when the team and fans were attacked and nothing was done about it. Yet when other teams and fan bases were attacked 1/10 of the amount we were, threads were locked and infractions handed out like candies.

There is a double standard on this site that I need a break from.

See you in 2025

I’m glad we visited Iceland last spring but now I feel we need to return to see it again as it’s changed.

Islands in the stream.
Lava has reached the icelandic town of Grindavik and has consumed its first few homes/buildings
Iceland is beautiful but kind of hard to figure out why so many people want to live there and thus its so expensive. Wouldn't want to be living too close to active Volcanoes. I mean given a choice probably Hawaii Big Island instead. A little less ice, except in the MaiTai's

To think people complain about the weather here and cracked sidewalks and potholes from the cold. Never had to deal with any Lava or Volcano plumes or significant Earthquakes.

Yeah but it was the Nordic who settled there from another cold as balls place. It was either live in a place where it was cold n you might get your head chopped off......or live in a place that was cold as balls and might blow up from underneath your feet.lol
