As much as Myers is taking dumb penalties, I also feel he is being targeted at least as much.

I think we know what type of a player he is.

Yes, it is probably and accurately his own doing; but he is certainly getting targeted.

A little too much.

I also feel he is trying, to the best of his ability.. and I appreciate that.

He is trying to win.

You know.... Sutter has been low key excellent since game 1. You could count the number of HFB Canucks fans that wanted him in game 2 on one hand. You love to see it.

I liked that Sutter got better as the series wore on. It didn't make sense to me to dump his contract when heading into his final year. Especially with Horvat being overloaded with defensive assignments. Far better to trade Beagle or Baertschi to get cap relief.

Stecher makes far fewer mistakes on the ice. He also pushes the play up the ice well enough.

I can't argue 6'8" and heavy, hard, mean etc... Mistakes wise, Stecher would make far less and push the play up the ice just as well. Myers may have the edge once in the Ozone, but I'll trade that off given his far shakier performance in the other two zones. He's just not thinking well enough out there on the ice.
Sorry! Thought you mentioned me? :)

Myers played extremely hard minutes, and provided meanness too. He took too many stick penalties for sure, but his minute munching meanness was absolutely needed.
But what’s really cool is we have the best U23 D man in the league.
Reason why I don’t mind him taking extra penalties is cause it seems like he finally realized that he’s 6”7 and 200s lbs

Sutter has shown his family name proud.

What do you think of Horvats series?

Uh, no. Stecher brings no offence, so he has to play a defensive role. He’s too light to play the hard, heavy, and mean minutes that Myers does. I love Stecher’s heart, but for the role his limited skills default him to, he’s too small to be effective in hard matchups against heavy players.
Totally agree..Looked really overmatched in the first two games..Green obviously felt the same way

Horvat was below par. Did enough to stave off heavy criticism, but he didn't impact the game as he is capable of doing.

230 lbs.

Stecher is defensive role guy, right? In heavy hockey he’s just too light to be effective defensively. Plus, he provides no meanness. I love Stecher, but he physically is not able to play the role Myers does.

Canucks winning in 4 hit big for me. Also putting money on them tonight when they were trailing 4-3 also helped. Cashed out $1500 from this series lol. Let’s see what the next series pays out ;)

What odds were they paying on 'Canucks in 4'?

?!?! How come Canucks let that guy go? They don’t wanna draft any more game breakers?
Canucks scouting goes well beyond Judd. He's been here since the Gillis days, and until Benning came Judd and the staff had 1 pick (Horvat) make the NHL. Some people hate Benning so they refuse to give him any credit.

He's not expected to play like Myers. Stecher is a 2way Dman. Far smarter in the Dzone and Neutral zone. Worse in the Ozone.

Good hockey doesn't care about size.

And Bo was good tonight, but not overall for the series.

Anyone still want to trade Boeser for Dumba after watching those four games?

Wasn't for it then or now. Then again, we shouldn't be judging it by a short series.

Benning is given credit for promoting Brackett, just not for choosing the players.

The Stars and the Blues play each other on Sunday at 12PM PST.

I'm assuming Game 1 for both of those teams will be on Tuesday.

Vegas and Colorado will 'host' games on Monday.

Come to think of it - and JPat just said this on 1040...With lottery on Monday, they go dark with games.

Colorado/Vegas host on Tuesday.

Dallas/St. Louis host Wednesday.
