And he’s a big boy who plays heavy.Anyone else think Juolevi showed well, albeit in very limited minutes. He was poised with the puck, good at holding the line in the offensive zone.
The counter argumentThe main issue is that they are built to kick some ass and ragdoll teams. Much like Washington. Even if we managed to get through the Blues, we would likely come out limping.
It would definitely be the ultimate test, that's for sure.
attending a scott road celebration at the top of my bucket list
I put that down to a young team playing their first playoff game. Yeah, yeah I know this series was a “qualifier”, but I’m calling it a playoff series.Still feel a bit surreal
Who would had thought we would win it in 4 after the terrible game 1
A Canucks tradition.
It’s not a Canucks playoffs without Scott Road and 72nd Street!
Yay
finally get to see him
I’ve lived in Asia for a decade now, but I grew up in North Delta.
Scott Road celebrations really brings back memories.
I hear ya, but I think the 'default' has hurt his offensive confidence..I like Stecher’s heart too, but there’s a reason why he only played 9 minutes. His lack of skill defaults him to a defensive role, but he’s so light that heavy hockey is a challenge for him.
The counter argument
I don’t remember the last time we beat Dallas
VJ, you are overlooking what he actually did on the ice in order to support your feeling about this player. Myers sucked.
He was markedly worse in this series than he was in the regular season. It wasn't even close. Did you need more plays where forwards covered for his mistakes to make it obvious? He was so poor in the neutral and defensive zones. He relied almost completely on his strength and not his brain.
'Solid'... He was the furthest thing from it. We are watching different games. I almost feel like posting his every mistake in the GDT would wake people up to what he is actually doing on the ice.
Yep me too, Heath, Chalmers, Burnsview and NDSS, you? This was back before all the highschools were turned into 8-12s
Yeah, it’s amazing that Hughes is getting thrown out there like a seasoned vet, getting lots of minutes and tough opposition matchups. Bravo QH43!I don't think anyones mentioned Hughes' ice time but he played almost half the game.
His 27:31 on ice was more than anyone else on the Canucks and only slightly behind Brodin and Dumba (29:01 and 27:47).
Pretty clear who our number 1 dman is, and he's a rookie.
What do you think Nolan Baumgartner was saying to TM57?
Happiest I’ve been as a Canuck fan in a decade.
even if we go no further , was cool to see the boys all fired up.
Anyone else think Juolevi showed well, albeit in very limited minutes. He was poised with the puck, good at holding the line in the offensive zone.
Hey bud, Pinewood - Seaquam actually.
Ah no kidding, I didn’t know they’re all 8-12 now.
Is that how the picks from 16-31 will go? The next 8 pick from 16-23 will be the losers of round 1 based off regular points? Then 24-27 will be those who lose in round 2?
Give it til game 1 next weekI'll remember you said this, mister grumpy pants
If you listen closely, you can hear Edmonton crying from here
Absolutely not. lolDoes this mean we restart our proud tradition of going to the Oilers boards after a win?
He's obviously had some physical limitations over the years but you can definitely see his brain is still there. That fake dump-in was a really interesting play that I don't think a lot of players would think of doing.
I'm still not particularly optimistic, but him turning into a player would help out our defence majorly. He's looked better than I expected.
