McDonagh and Callahan both had great games today. Cally was a wrecking ball and McD was just a rock. They're both representing NYR and USA well so far. That's great to see.

"This one game proves that that one game was an aberration."

Literally didn't even imply that? Though you know what, if you're gonna try to shape what I said, I guess a good game against a good team does count more than a bad game against a bad team.

Just upsetting watching Rangers fans here constantly find any reason to **** on Ryan Callahan, that's all.

If that wasnt what you were implying, I apologize. I don't mean to put words in peoples' mouths.

A huge pet peeve of mine is the "where are the homers/haters now" post because its based on the smallest of sample sizes.

I don't think fans are unappreciative of what Callahan means to the franchise, or what his skill set is. I think some fans see the contact demand rumors and are just unable to articulate that they think it's bad asset allocation without taking a **** on his game.

Callahan played great today. And he's exactly the type of guy you want on your team in the playoffs. I'm weary of his supposed contract demands though.

I really find it weird that people have an issue with Karlsson. He's probably been the best player in the Olympics (I'm Biased) and single-handily controls games at the NHL level for a team with subpar talent for the most part. You would think he'd get more respect from the media and all.

Seems that Hagelin is injured?
According to CBC broadcast...

anyone have an update?? i heard he lost some teeth in the last sweden game, hope its not concussion or jaw related that he is out long term..

This Olympics showing the downfall of Czechs and Slovaks as hockey powers... not out yet but if they fall early, it will take a really good 2015 world cup to convince anyone that there is still a "big 7"

Switzerland beating Czech Republic 1-0. Niederreiter with an incredible game. CZE with 3 posts. I thought I saw Plekanec say "běž do prčic" after his second post.

there's not. SUI has surpassed SVK and is challenging CZE for that 6th spot. I still think CZE is better if they would go over a best of 7, but SUI is closing in quickly. There's quite a big gap after the 4th place, then there's Finland in no man's land at 5, and then there's an equally big gap to #6 (CZE) and 7 (SUI).

It was behind the opposition net in the last minute of the previous game. It was a scrum and looked like he got walloped by a stick. Doubt it's a concussion. One hand under his chin skating off but skating was fine--he wasn't wobbly at all. Broken jaw it's possible I suppose--probably lost some teeth anyway.

ONE injury and i wont watch another olympic game

IF ONE if our guys goes down ill stop watching the olympics

The price you have to be willing to pay if you want your players in these kinds of tournaments.

They really aren't. And it will get worse with their best player being 42. They just don't produce talent like when it was 1 country. Need more communism lol

The problem in Czech and Slovak hockey is, imo, that every meaningful position there is is given to a friend of a friend of a friend. I mean Alois ****ing Hadamczik. What the actual fudge.
