Sweden looked horrible on that goal. Completely hung Lundqvist out to dry.

Sweden is looking so horrible. QF next game, and they look worse than NYR did early in preseason LOL .

I have no clue how Sweden is supposed to so any damage against Canada, Russia and the US.

Oshie is a better version of Callahan. Too bad he won't leave the Blues anytime soon.

I'd say Callahan is a fair amount better on the defensive side of the puck than Oshie is. Their games are not enough alike to say that IMO. Oshie is a very good young player who has a high compete level though.

Sweden and Canada both look pretty bad. Sweden has been crushed by injuries though.

Mint- We are not good defensively.

The blueline is picked to compliment the ridiculously poised centers with the puck, Zetterberg / Backstrom / Hank Sedin. Now only Backstrom is left, and Ma Johansson and Berglund has replaced Z and Hank Sedin. Dan Sedin is lost without Hank and has ZERO chemistry with Backstrom (they play completely diffrent styles). And so forth and so forth.

Sweden play a pretty aggressive man man defense too. Just like we did in NY early in the year, it's not working.

Just wanted to stop in to show my love for Ryan McDonagh. The effort that he and Kesler gave today on the PK will go largely untalked about but it shouldn't. McDonagh is awesome. Probably my favorite defenseman not in St. Louis.

Remember early in the game when Strader was talking about how Latvia wouldn't generate many scoring chances. Yea...

Yep I thought he was great, too bad on his play on Datyuk's 2nd goal. Put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise he was awesome, IMO he was the best D-man on USA.

Right. It had nothing to do with his lackluster season in NY. Just based on one game.

Why should his NHL season have anything to do with the Olympics?

It has to do with people upset about his contract demands ******** on a player whenever they can, who just had a great game against one of the best teams in the Olympics.

Stuff like "Callahan shouldn't even be on this roster!" is ridiculous when Dustin Brown is out there sucking it up.

Yes, i'm a Cally homer butthurt about how the forum talks about him now, but I just thought it was interesting watching the discussion turn.
