He didn't play over 50 games here so I'm not sure how that applies to this situation because he wasn't tasked to play that many here. It's not like he had an overwhelming workload.
He was, at least, a very solid backup pretty much his entire career then a decent starter last year, hot start poor finish but better than the constant poor play here.
As I said, Campbell is certainly to blame for his failures here but it's a much larger problem than just Campbell. It's happened with every goalie here over the years for a reason with the exception of Smith who is a mental and physical beast, and had his own goalie coach which is notable.
