Broberg had a great game outside of getting tangled up with Skinner. He's now moved into our 3rd best defensemen.

Nurse
Barry
Broberg
Ceci/Vinny/Bouch/Kulak
Whos worse/giving up, gie aways, reads bad of Bouchard or Ceci?

Bouchard has a ELC, but maybe is a good tradechip?

What if trading Ceci and Bouchard for D upgrade?

I guess he never learned to throw a football at SSAC when he was 15.

Its all about the record.

It’s all about the record.

Bobrovsky and Vasilevskiy both had 39 wins last year, so they are in fact identical goalies. No goalie had more wins than Bobrovsky, so he was the best goalie in the NHL.

There is no way to differentiate between two goalies beside Wins and Losses, and the difference between two teams is completely irrelevant.

No skaters, coaches, or other factors impact a teams ability to win or lose a game. Goalies can adequately be compared just by their win-loss record, and they are the only relevant factor in deciding wins and losses.

All NHL teams should spend 82 million dollars on their goaltending and spend the bare minimum on everything else because only goaltending decides wins and losses.

Its all about the record.

Strawman arguments aren’t valid. I think skinner has played well for a rookie and Campbell has struggled. If you look at the scoring support, you could assume the team plays better in front of Campbell….

If we aren't upgrading on him or Yamamoto then there is no need to upgrade on anyone up front.

We should add depth
The Oilers need a 2nd pairing defensive defenseman. They have enough depth at forward. Kostin, Janmark, McLeod, Puljujaarvi, Ryan, Foegele. At least 4 of these guys will score 10+ goals when all's done. That's not counting the top 6 that is the best in the league.

Our Columbus game is one of those Saturday at 10:30 am games
I know a lot of the people in here hate these early starts. Living in Europe these are the only games I don't have to get up at 4am to watch them live. I welcome them with open arms.

So who do we grab?

To me Karlsson is still the best option, but maybe they are worried about trading Barrie and messing with the PP chem/room chem, making them hesitant to pull the trigger. I don't care.

Norris Level D needs to be swung for Ken. Pay the cost.

Broberg - Karlsson
Nurse - Bouchard
Kulak - Ceci
Desharnais

Poor Pulju. Guy played really well today can't buy a break Nice assist on the Shore goal, had some chances and dinged the slap pass off the post. Even the goalie thought it was in. He's been going though last couple weeks.
Dudes been on fire ever since he heard about the oilers potentially wanting to re-sign him.

Forward group is fine, upgrade the defense. Package Yamamoto with Bouchard for help.

Some copium in that PGT: "At least the pens don’t need to go back home to Edmonton" as if Shittsburgh is some paradise lmao
They also had a poster who said the pens should put McDavid on a stretcher, and then the same dumb ass poster posts pages after how it’s unclassy of Woodcroft to call a challenge on the offside goal. Stupidity at its finest. That guy belongs on CP with the rest of the inbreds.

1st in Western Conference gets you Colorado in the first round right now
I still think by the end of the season it will be the Avs in first in their division, with the Jets fighting for a WC spot. Of course that is contingent on Makar coming back relatively soon.

I do wonder if Stan Fischler still thinks that Jason Robertson is better than McDavid? Hopefully Connor has another gear and he can settle this heated debate once and for all. As of now lets just call it a draw and hope for better.

Why has Kostin completly stalled??

Bottom 6 is alright, but trying to had traded for OReily would been great.

Petry isn’t coming back here. He wanted out last time he was here on top of that he wants to be in the USA . Gavrikov also doesn’t want to play in Canada . This is below Chia level of GM ing

You guys do realize that:

1. The Oilers win tonight.
2. Goaltending had almost no impact on the game.

Yet you guys are beating each other up on this goalie debate?

You do realize that it was one poster criticizing Skinner over and over and over?

"you guys" lol
