Karlsson isn't coming man. Just warm yourself up to Lafferty for a 2nd round pick followed by a press conference about Detroit.
Karlsson is expensive and is not exactly what this team needs. Chychrun would be better and won't cost as much. Probably they can work something around Bouchard and picks/prospects.

He only wanted out last time because MacT forced a one year show me deal. And for some unknown reason Eakins healthy scratched him the first game of the season.

If we had just signed the 4 year deal he asked for he never would have asked out. Of course if he doesn’t leave that deadline we may not have fallen far enough to win McDavid so….
He also wanted to leave Montreal for the USA. He isn’t coming back . Care to make a bet ?

How is it that LAK and EDM are both 32-18-8 but we have a +29 goal differential and they have +1.

LA has more than a few one goal and circus time wins and more than a few blowout losses, IIRC

This is funny because I actually met Michael Jordan this week and got to chat with him for a little bit. I was surprised by how much he knew about hockey and I actually learned that he was a minority owner of the Capitals back in the day.
Did you ask Michael if he felt Kobe Bryant was a better player than he was?

Him and Gretz were really good friends from what I heard. There was a story where they in Vegas and MJ went to give a 5 chip as a tip. Gretzky stopped the waitress reached over and took a 100 chip from MJs pile and said this is how we tip in Vegas

See my further reply I don’t think he would come back. I just know that when he was here he wasn’t clawing to get out either.

If they played that way night in and night out, oooooh boy.

I mean, like Drivesaitl said above "In the case of Pens something to me suggested that the fight in that dog was less by the end of the first period."....that is what happens when you put your foot on the throat and never let up. And it isn't necessarily on the scoreboard as it was only 2-1 after 1. But to only have what, 3 shots in the whole first and only having that goal by virtue of a first shot goal?

Ouch.
One of the shots to boot was a dump in but it ended up being on target. So in reality Pens had 2 SOG, actual shots, in the first period. Its kind of sad in a way. Seeing Crosby, Malkin etc be so pedestrian. Letestu really looked like h'es aged the best of them and was still a factor. This Pens team is going to be real bad for a long long time now.

That was the best game they played all season. Pens might not be the power house they once were but they're still a good team.
People don't agree because of the way it turned out but I felt the AV's game was the best the team had played allseason. Comments tend to be on a results basis but the club effort was pretty solid, just have to mark Mackinnon and Rants better. In that game the Oilers turned in two near perfect periods and killed 4 penalties while dominating. But the AV's really upped the anted in 3rd period.

This team ALWAYS plays better down the stretch. McD was on fire last night from the first touch of puck.

No, I wouldn’t insult him like that and I figured everyone always wants to talk to him about basketball or the Netflix special. Mostly talked golf and nascar lol.

There’s always plenty of celebrities and athletes here you get used to it but it was a definitely a bucket list moment for me to be able to meet MJ.

I guess. I would probably chicken out too and not ask.

He had a great Jeremy Roenick story from back when they were both in Chicago.

If you're talking about raw $ and cap hit, yeah. But when it comes to trade assets, from what I've heard, ask is similar.

2 firsts, decent NHL player, prospect.

What about Jays games? How much r beers? I wanna see a game this year. New right field will be awesome. Last time I was inside was 90’s

$13-16 for a tall boy.
$8 for a 12oz draft. $16 for 24oz.

There are 3 dugout deals concessions in sections 137, 239, and 537. They're basically discounted concessions with $5.50 Bud Light 12 oz draft and $3.25 hotdogs. However, they're no secret so the lineups are long. I believe there's a beer stand near the Flight Deck that has $5 cans of bud and bud light too.

The Blue Jays can be a very affordable experience. Weekday 100 level bases tickets will run you as cheap as $40 depending on the team the Jays are playing and demand. 500 level seats can go as low as $15 on gameday (also subject to demand and team being played).

If you're willing to stand all game, you can get a cheap 500 level ticket and go down to the WestJet Flight Deck. Its first-come-first-served standing room only in the 200 level outfield. But it's basically a 200 level ticket for cheap and you might even get a homerun ball.

Two 1st might be steep but depending who is the player going the other way, it could be worth it. He's a legit top pairing defenseman signed to a Barrie like contract for 2 more beyond this year.
So if it's something like Bouchard, 2 firsts and Bourgeault that's steep. But if we are talking Yyamamoto, 2 first and maybe a lesser prospect, it could be worth it.

For karlsson you’re talking 3 roster players just for cap purposes. That’s if they retain 30% which they won’t.

That's not tenable. Unless there's retention it's not happening.

Hence why I've resigned myself to Lafferty for a second.

Your first assumption is probably correct.
